Thanks a lot di for this video! Today was the nift situation test at Kolkata centre and yesterday my dad was not quite happy about getting me into nift. Thanks to you! Actually i am so happy today coz i am a science pcb student but i wanted to be fashion designer since childhood so i asked my parents about it for NIFT cllg nd they agreed without any hesitation nd i asked them multiple times in past too they agreed but with hesitation nd i said about my goal to many elders in my family about dropping pharmacy nd applying for nift nd they were all surprised nd happy nd it gave me best satisfaction before my bday nd it id kinda gift for me they dunno but it is for me nd also everything happened before my bday so it gives me more happiness that i will start my new life after 9 june nd a more satisfied nd calm one thats it ! ITS JUST MY EMOTION lol💜being medical student i will do nift after my 12th no prblm guyss I WILL ENJOY MY NIFT STUDIES AFTER 1 YR!💃👍

@@meenamathi2019 I think some basics are taught in this course, as it is a course for people from engineering background. When doing the course if we aren't aware of some basics, I think the professors, seniors will guide or recommend from where to learn.

This is all about who done there 4yrs course unfortunately I have done engg'ing as my passion did not died I done 1yr course from NIFT , I learned designing software's and knowledge about fabric....but nobody wants ( even as 2nd asst. Designer) all designes want only 4yrs graduate....😔😔😔

Job opportunities hai.but very poor salary in the beginning.....NIFT ki fee bahut high ho chuki hai... I studied in NIFT Bangalore... (fashion design) when I was in college it was 40k per.. semester ... Now it's one lakh per semester... choose this career if u r really passionate... Making money in this field needs patience ND a lot of experience 😁 good luck people

My family is very supportive, but when I asked them for fashion designing, they didn't agree but they agreed after going through a lot of convince but they was still very angry that I was wasting my time in fashion designing , I didn't complete my graduation in bsc kyunki bhaut mushkil say family maane the.... Have you heard about the IKSV.... It is the Art college which have many Art streams like singing dancing, fashion designing theatre and fine arts Fees of one semester is only 5k And it is asia's firt Art University in India It ia goverment college that's why the fees is very low. You should search in Google about it and if you want to become fashion designer so it is really very good University for that

I literally got chills when you said that the industry is the most welcoming one in the country. I'm in my final year of nift and I honestly don't want college to end. I've had my best years in nift, people are so loving and welcoming of each other here regardless of your gender, sexuality, background or personality. While sitting in placements, do they check the CGP's of that particular year like 3rd year end or 4th year or all of them? like from 1st year to 4th?

Lemme share my story as well Really got interested into fashion designing from 11th standard when I was doing coaching for IIT JEE , (was never really good at it ) , then after giving JEE mains got a rank of about 1 lakh , definitely was not going to get any of the govt colleges , didn't gave nift , 1 month into engineering and I finally decided to fight against all odds and talked to my father , he is still not convinced yet I will finally get my course changed Tomorrow in the University , let's see how well does it go tom , I will come back and update it then 💁🏻‍♂️

Di you have not mentioned about your FIT education which uh did after nift what if we are not financially not able to take the expenses of new York then how would we expect salary as you told about in this video...?

After spending 20 lakhs or more than that, what we got starting salary is ₹20,000 - ₹25,000 ...i think fashion designers deserve more salary..and for middle class families it's too much to spend that much amount and after that we got this 20,000 even we can't pay our loans..💔 so tell me, how i convince my father??🤷‍♀️ i think i have to give up😖

i have my interview for diploma in nift mumbai . I have completed my graduation in BBA . But naw i finally convinced my parents becoz m very pastionate about fashion . Plz give some tip regarding interview and how to make portfolio . N plz make some videos regarding diploma n what to do after diploma .is it a good career option ?

No , family is very sportive to me , my mother and father tell to me that do anything which u want in Ur future , when I was at 4 the standard I decided to be a fashion designer and my family sport me till and till end ...I love my parents alot ....

Hello shivangi di !! I must say that it is one of the best and helpful video I've ever seen .. Right from my 7th grade I want to be a fashion designer .. I love to make sketches of outfits and I want to design my own clothes whichever type of I want to wear ...My parents agreed for my field and that's a huge deal for me ...and thank you so much for making us understand about the criteria of salary or what should we do and how should do all this ...I hope you make more helpful videos like this one and once again a million thanks to you ..❤

I graduated this year. And my whole family is discussing wt's nxt for me. I wanna become a fashion designer but I knew very well they won't let me. So I didn't tell them. Few days ago I told them wt I want and yh as expected they rejected. They told me that 'when ppl hear that I'm studying fashion they will look down at me'. My parents think fashion designers is not a proper job that I can get. I don't understand them actually, being a doctor or an engineer is not only the thing that someone can be successful and every job hv it's own value. I study and work is not to show off to others or something. So why should I care abt wt others will think. I promised myself no matter wt I'll fight for it but now I feel like losing hope. I wish everything will go well. I wish u all a happy life💜

Agree with Ur words di That' the biggest problem is indian education system what has been marked by the ppl This is my story . M practicing for bachelor of fine art's exam , my parents nd siblings always ask , what is scope in this nd what will u do after this , whatever I want to do after this I have plans for that but still I don't speak too much on this topic whenever somebody ask to me " what will u do " . My parents are supporting me only because I do hard work as much as I can do for this. They just see me nd say let her do whatever she want at least she won't be disappointed from our side in future. But There's a problem among everyone around here even my mom nd bro aslo say this ( actually I hadn't be able to crack my enterence exam from last 2 years this is third year " m slow , m not lazy only my hand is slow , m covering my timing day by day ) they say first do graduation then u do whatever u want but if did graduation , so they won't allow me to do this . This is my passion , I do never think to earn , I just want to work in expo to show my passion . I know " khi na khi vo bhi shi h " But my work is glowing the day another day still , nd my teacher is always there for me to encourage me , only think ppl around here they don't know about it but the thing they always say " Why Don't U Do Graduate , Isko Graduation krwa do. Uff this graduation word is like "fasi ka fanda" for me . I know it's very long but aaj Dil ki baat puri bol Dali , feel soooooo relief . Hello di, there's also a connection between an artist nd a fashion designer , I respect all the artist from the bottom of my heart . Nd m obsessed with fashion.

Hey i need your help, i hope i will get reply, see i am an IT professional not by my choice but family pressure in those days . I was not allowed to study fashion designing being boy of conservative family but now i am a project manager in IT company but that guilt that i could not study fashion me being creative is always there . now i decided to study fashion on scholarship bases from European countries like Itly , Paris, Millan , France etc . now here comes first huddle to get any scholarship to any university one should show them some portfolio . how to aceive that all i did in my life is stitched many diffrent styles of dresses for my radha krishna experimenting diffrent fabrics and many paintings i made , some knowledge of fabrics i have , guide me how to get that scholarship of good university

Hii I am from NIFT kolkata, graduated in 2018 Everything u mentioned about the fashion designing profession is correct and I appreciate the way u enlightened people about it . But in my college even the highest grade holders were paid like 25k per month and that’s not worth the admission charges and the energy we invest in that 4 yrs . Salary wise this profession isn’t worth but you are creative and have passion for it please pursue it . Tbh I am Still not satisfied with the salary pay scale for the designers
