I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your content. At 64 I’ve seen so many trends come, go and come back again, I’ve learned to stay true to my personal style. I love your focus on embracing this stage of one’s life and not letting ageism get you down.
Thanks Beth for drawing attention to us mature woman. You have actually changed my life since I started following you a few years ago. Thank you for everything you do! YOU are an icon too!❤
What a lovely compliment. I love to share how women of a Certain Age are changing the fashion rules. And setting the tone for each of us to embrace who we are at 50, 60, 70 and beyond!
Beth, one of your best videos yet and it is hard to top all of the many wonderful videos you have already produced! I cannot imagine the amount of work and research it must take to deliver videos of such high quality and relevant content on a consistent basis. Thank you so much.
I have been using nira for around 2 years with great results. It’s easy to stick with as home devices require consistency to see results. Along with eye area, I treat my 11s and nasolabial folds.
Hi Beth, thank you for a terrific video! I see evolution in your content and want to say you are really delivering! I appreciate the way you are weaving Kelly, her unique style and culinary skills, into the mix. You always deliver on your brand statement of aging with style and grace. I once encountered you in the town where I live and beyond your graciousness at being greeted by a stranger, I’ll never forget glancing over to see Mr. Style beaming at you. Just as I’m sure he is still. God bless and thanks for all you do.
@@BethDjalali yes you are correct! I was a hot mess that day but glad I put pride aside to say hello. Looking forward to see what you have in store for us next week
Thank you Beth for including a picture of Brigitte Macron who is undoubtedly elegant thanks to her slim silhouette, her personal impeccable tastes and… the HUGE help of Louis Vuitton’s image advisors…
Hi Beth, I had the good fortune to visit the Salvatore Ferragamo museum, underneath the store in Florence Italy. Dozens of stunning shoes that he created during his lifetime - all classics that I wish were available today. It reminded me that accessories really make a difference - the right shoes can elevate your look. I greatly admire all of the women ‘of a certain age’ with standout style - couldn’t agree more with your choices.
this was awesome.. I jump on Pintrest to see Helen Mirren style photos . I love classic / edgy style . We all need a pair of cowboy boots in our lives lol
I’ve appreciated the timeless beauty of Isabella Rossellini, and her mother Ingrid Bergman, and even her father Roberto Rossellini! Isabella was an iconic model of classic beauty for Lâncome, a cosmetics company. I have similar coloring as she; however my skin tone is a bit more bluish-pink than she and I have cooler undertones in my skin than she. My father was often assumed to be Italian or Spanish, due to his black hair and warmer, more yellow and olive skin tone.
Great video. An idea is to take one of these icons and mirroring some of their outfits into real life examples using things from your closet or brands you use.
I have a piece of advice for you. Like myself it looks like you have spent some time in the sun and acquired some white spots. Using Selsun Blue a few times when you shower will get rid of them. It doesn't take months but just a few times. Thats all it took for me anyway. Love your videos. I am 82 and haven't given up yet.😊
No to Jane Fonda and replace her with Iris Appel....yes to at least a picture of another First Lady Melania or Laura Bush who was always promoting local American designers. I do appreciate your research and positive commentary for women over 50.
You may not be a fan, but these women have changed the fashion landscape and that's what this video is all about along with Iman, Prue, Helen, and Jennifer.
What about Melania Trump ? The group you selected , I’ve never considered as role models . I normally look forward to your videos , I think you’re beautiful , but this video was a dud . Jmo
1923 is basically Game of Thrones on the Prairie, with worse acting. Helen Mirren was probably the only decent actress in the whole mess. Awful show. 1883 was great though!
Are you making a political statement? Beth has great tips, these are just a few women. I am sure Melania will be beautiful 3 decades from now, for some of us Melania is young!
Jane Fonda is a traitor and an angry, nasty old woman who literally called for the murder of conservatives. Not exactly a great example of a decent person, no matter how beautifully her stylist dresses her. Lipstick on a pig.
@@BethDjalali I am not saying plastic surgery is wrong. I have nothing against it. But most people have it later in life, to look younger. That is not really embracing your age. By the way, I think most of the fashion you show us is great!
So plastic surgery at 85 discounts a woman embracing her age? What about fitness, healthy lifestyle, supporting other women, and continuing to work? Those attributes don't count? I always find it interesting how polarizing plastic surgery is for women.
Having cosmetic surgery does not mean not embracing ones age. It's an option some choose for themselves and that is okay. It's also okay if one chooses not to have any work done. It's interesting how annoyed or polarized people get by this subject. Btw, Jane Fonda is still very recognizable from her pre surgery self. I watch Turner Classic Movies network often, A very young JF in the movies Sunday In New York and Walk On The Wild Side, looks recognizable to her older self. With all the meanness in the world let's keep this platform a happy place. Let's not slam other people.
@@BethDjalali plastic surgery doesn’t have to be polarizing. That would be your conclusion to what you’re thinking. No problem. If we truly embrace aging, we stay as fit as we can yes, but why can’t we also see beauty in natural aging? More conclusions and biased against true aging. I’m okay, just do you.
@@egarvey6403 not a slam unless you see it that way. It was not intended just that I didn’t recognize JF in Brady until she spoke. So to praise her for it fine if you think so, but that then discount all the other women who can’t afford or don’t desire to have surgery. Aging is and can be beautiful on its own. Wrinkles and sags included. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Just do yoi
Melania Trump is the classiest and most beautiful style icon ive ever seen. Im surprised you didn't show her tremendous style. Everyone you featured were lefty loons.
Not political, but Michelle Obama never had good style. She was a fashion victim all through her FL years. And she’s no better now. So selecting her here is quite a surprise. 🤔
She wasn't specifically mentioned, but several photos of her were laced throughout the video. What I loved about her style was that she leaned into every day brands like J.Crew. She definitely had an impact.
@@BethDjalali She did wear J.Crew, but the sweaters always looked to small and juvenile. And those very large belts on every outfit were terrible. Thanks for taking the time to reply. I do enjoy your channel!
