Zoe you mean sooo much to me! I just got over my 6 month art block last month! And that's because of you 'Perfectionism is stupid series. I mean you basically said the same thing as everyone else but, you said it a lot meaner I guess. 😂 But it really helped me so thank you so so much. Wish you the best!
I'm doing fashion designing course. In the jury they've looked at my work n said I'm a discrage to the whole fashion fraternity in front of my juniors and eventually they failed me. Since then I've been depressed and started watching videos on how to illustrate. Glad I found you. Now I'm understanding the tricks about shading on fabrics. I'll practice alot now. Thanks.
Hey Zoe, I love watching you illustrate. I find it strangely satisfying to watch you go step by step in bringing your renderings to life. I always learn something new with every video - the dirndl skirt! Hallelujah for google because I would not have spelled it that way. Glad you’re feeling better. 😁
Hey Zoe I’m so happy to hear you’re feeling and doing well 😊. I’m also thankful you’re still making vids at this time. I learn so much from your channel. You’re a legend xx
Hi Zoe before I discovered your channel I was always drawing the same fabric material for my characters. Now after I found about your channel now I know how to apply different fabrics and clothing for my characters.Btw I love your channel great and easy to follow instructions awesome as always💕(also I’m working on making a comic or an anime)
Thank you Zoe for posting these videos! They're so helpful! I love them! I just finished watching and practicing the series. Can't wait to try out the techniques on the next series!
Really greatful that you make the effort to shoot this video even when you're still dealing with the process of recovery. It's a great video, I learned so much from it and as I'm currently obssess to draw white curly hair, I'm taking the principles of rendering white fabric to hair. I let you know the rsults. ;-x Thanks again!
Zoe, this is kind of random, but can you do a series about clothing history? I’m very interested in why clothing developed differently in different regions. Why do people in the Middle East wear turbans and hijabs? Why do people in Japan wear kimonos? High heels? Dresses? If you’re up for it, I’d love to watch that series
thank you for the lovely video with very helpful tips and wish you a quick recovery! Do you work with pastels? could you please make a tutorial on pastels?
Hey Zoe! Could you teach us how to draw all the body types? I have a complicated time when i try to draw plus sized women. It would help me a lot. Thanks!!
Zoe Hong Oh, didn't think about that at all. Is it something to do with how tightly it's woven, or something else entirely? Y'know what, don't worry, I'm heading over to Fabric 101 for a refresher 😊
@@rabthecab I don't know if I went over that specifically but basically, polyester yarns are tubes of plastic that are woven and knit into fabric and plastic doesn't breathe. Blends are ok as long as the other fiber is something breathable like cotton and there's a high percentage of the other fiber.
@@TheWhitePhoenix2 I start with big swatches, enough to be able to understand the drape of the fabric. If it's a print, I want at least 2 full repeats, preferably more.
