Denim (and chambray) done in 8 different ways using markers, colored pencils, gouache, and watercolor markers!
Rule #1 of rendering any fabric for design communication is to pay attention to your specific fabric swatch. This video covers a bunch of ways to get started on rendering denim. It's up to you to choose which method or combo of methods will work best for your chosen fabric.

YES! I study Fashion Design in the ONLY College that offers a course on Design & make in Scotland. My illustration teacher NEVER shows us any real techniques and I look upon watching Zoe Hong all day everyday

Yeah, I'm a little late to this party it appears (4 years?)! I found this video while searching for "gloss black vs flat black colored pencil", (don't know the connection either). You have a new fan. It was great watching you with markers and pencils, but you blew my doors off when you started the water colors! You are very talented and amusing! +Sarah Longshore Haha! My students have a love/hate relationship with me. My intel says they love me because they learn a lot but hate me because I give tons and tons of homework and am quite a hard grader. And by "my intel", I mean students often just say these things to my face.

Damn, to be fair I'm not even in fashion school but my dream since 2018 was being a fashion designer, I want to create something unique and thanks to you I got motivation and inspiration to make it happen, there is a lot to learn but thank god you exist. It's going to be hard even with the language cause I'm not native English speaker, but there is always pros and cons about everything, at least I'll practice English with fashion terms!

This video is gold, I've watched many of your videos, all are good, but this particular video is what I needed for an assignment and you explained everything so perfect! I loved it. I know other people do it so I know it can be done, but I like having my own twist on things. Now, if I could figure out an effective way to do it, specifically what would you like to learn? It's pretty much the same except no blue. Add grey shadows, add twill texture using a very light, skinny graphite pencil...
