Some behaviors are organic, inherent in the species. Dogs are dogs. Cats are cats and connt resist the behavior which goes with that species. Bu what about humans? The one "organic" behavior pattern that is essential to the human organism is the relationship between the mother and the child. Beginning totally organic at birth, the relationship between the mother and the child are so essential and innate, that without them, none of us would exist. That organic connection, from the facial expressions, to the simple tasks of nurturing the infant are innate, organic. That is the power of ASMR. There is not more rewarding connection between human beings than the mother who cares for her offspring. Or the adult child who cares for their aging mother. I suggest that this is what is happening here.
