Chainsaw Artist & competitive chainsaw carving judge Jeff Mohr, talks about creating a fast and fun bear in a log with a Chainsaw and gives great insight on the process.
Hi from Mississippi, brother chainsaw carver. Very nice bear. I'm Fabian Ihrke. ( Bearfoot Chainsaw Sculptures). Happy carving!! And keep the saw running and body parts attached. 😊
Great carving Sir and another great video. You are quickly becoming a go to reference for this new carver. Thank you for sharing what you do with all of us!
Been looking around youtube for video by a carver that speaks to wood/log selection. Curious if there are species that are more desirable for easy of carving as well as longevity of the piece? Should the log be seasoned for a certain period of time before carving, also if carving green wood should it dry for a particular period of time before finishing and sending off to its final home? I have also heard you talk (atleast in one video briefly) about taking the bark off logs that are staged for later carving, is this to prevent insect damage? I know a lot of questions, but figure you would be a good resource to ask the question. Heck, maybe it would be notable for a future video? Thank either way for your time and have a fantastic day! @@BigRagufromAT
Is that just a regular brown you are using on the bear or a bronze? It really looks good and thank you so very much for the videos! They are much enjoyed!
