This guide is for beginners. For an advanced hack to get insane AP, here's a great video by KindredCVS on the topic: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gRLXoxvg9Tk.html
For O'Waka's Dept, you canjust buy Hi-Potions from him then sell them to Barkeep, whose literally right next to him. You actually get a small profit because O'Waka's prices are cheaper. Rinse and repeat and you should easily pay off most if not all of his dept, even if you aren't playing NG+
for international version, i have the intrepid garment grid equipped, with key to success accessory. fighting dark yojimbo in battle simulator always gives 15AP. its doubled by the key to success and then x3 by the intrepid garment grid, giving you 90AP each win, which normally takes about a minute to defeat him 👍👍👍
Late game AP grinding, I equip Highroad Winds dressphere for all the girls and go to Yojimbos cave in the calm lands, equip the AP egg gained from playing blitzball and swap intermittently for whichever dressphere I need abilities for. You can max out alchemist and mascot dressphere in under an hour. I also equip a lure bangle and accessories to prevent pointless. You can mindlessly kill everything down there no problem earning decent ap.
I do something similar in the arena. Step 1 - Fight 3x elementals (they hit all party members for low damage) Step 2 - Cast haste on team Step 3 - Use potions (set UI to remember to just spam x) I have Yuna heal Rikku, Rikku heal Pain, and Pain heal Yuna. When all positions are gone you know you've got at least 30 AP each. If you kill yourself, you also won't gain EXP so you can stay low level too.
I usually go to the bottom of mushroom rock. Just attacking and defeating enemies gives 4 AP. The tonberry down there is a good source of Gil when using pfifer Gil. It’s a good grind spot
My favorite ap grind is to get the garment grids that let you mug and pilfer Gil. They count as one ap each hit and can be used with any dressphere. But I like it more for a new game plus usually as then you can run a whole game with it and not do so much grinding
I am glad I found this channel. When you said “White mages seem to earn ap faster cuz the moves” it immediately clicked in my head. I am super new to this game. I want to try. Do you have another video really telling me the do’s or don’t when you start?
Thank you! I'm playing FFX-2 for the first time and this is really useful. Can you do a follow-up video about all the AP grind techniques you've collected? For example what abilities in each dress sphere are useful to spam in every fight.
Max AP you can earn in one fight is 99.. Early to Mid-game, Amorphus Gel and Protean Gel are good to farm, with a Tetra Glove or Tetra Bracer you're immortal for the fight. Give one to whichever girl you want to farm AP for, let him kill off the other two then spam whatever you want.
Love the strategy. There's also a Garment Grid that gives triple AP - is it triple? - all you have to do is change dresspheres and activate all three GGrid mods/spots. Also, turning off Dressphere changes makes this method more tolerable and faster in the beginning of the battle! Love your videos!!! Keep it up!
I know this is a year old video but I paid of O’aka debt by doing the data seller guy in Guadosalam I think in chapter 2? I got lucky and got the second highest possible option, but you can save and reset until he says “it’s the last person you’d expect” or something close to that.
Question: Have you completed all those games on the shelf behind you, lol? I have games that I play but haven't completed and I beat myself up often over it :-(
I like setting everyone on the treasure hunter GG and spamming mug because it will give AP each attack where the standard attack doesn't give AP for some reason lol
@@MirandaLemons it's weird that the theif doesn't naturally learn mug but yeah I think it's one of the fastest ways to max everything especially if they have low physical strength so they get more turns to spam mug but it could make it boring to some to just mug all the time but I usually prefer to use basic attacks and save MP anyway.
Nice guide, but holy shit level in FF10-2 is disgustingly bad design. Somehow it's even worse than what they did to blitzball, just painfully boring for no good reason.
It was rushed and on a smaller budget so they didn't have time to come up with a more complex system. Personally it works, best to have a basic level system then the more complicated job system to go with it.
