Kion Benjamin DAMN RIGHT...HE GT A BIG ASS S.C CHAIN ONN WITH 843...ONN IT, LISTEN TOO THT "I" WHEN HE TALK...SOUTH CAROLINA IS GOING OVA SEAS INN AMERICA DAWG !!!!!
@@Jstaywinnin That's the whole damn world nowadays.. Unfortunately.. I don't even want fame or bread from music.. I just want people to vibe to my message
It's crabs in a bucket down here. No jobs no money so when someone tries to make it or actually makes it, there is no support at all because they want what you want.
Yo I was listenin' to him, and I was like, "He sounds like he's from the Coast", cause he's got that Island Feel to his voice. And I was like, "This guy's gotta be GeeChee". And damned if he wasn't from Charleston!
CarolinaOn TheRise don't forget my name then cos on some real shit you going to all over the place one day. MoneyHouse Ent, we the best in South Carolina! check me out dawg
Thisiz White THEY NT OF THIS MAN CALIBER BRA...HE MAKING REFERENCE TOO REAL STREET NIGGAS !!!!! OUT HERE...LIKE HIM, KILLA SKIP, BACK BOY SAV, V.T, 2 HUNNIT (R.I.P) JUS DIRT, & FLIPPARACHI...
Charleston is a mixture of the carribean and other cultures... we just different down here. Especially on the water coast . The accent totally different than inlands.
803 Born and Raised. This the area that got the talent dawg. Idk about the other guys from SC but where I’m from we all speaking on real shit. We labeled as the underdogs but we gonna be on top eventually. The ones who truly committed to the rap game gone be put in position to play.
I know a SC rapper that had ties with Houston rapper Paul Wall. Paul Wall was major one time but later went back to the independent scene. This S.C. rapper had connections with Paul Wall and they later Manage to collaborate on a track. There’s a blind rapper name Blind Fury. He’s from Lugoff, SC. He made his name locally and got mainstream attention by being on 106 & Park. So, the point is that any rapper or singer (no matter what state they from)that wants to be noticed needs to go above and beyond. Even if it means having better connections that can have ties with major labels or a certain celebrity or move out of state and find a major label to listen to them or find more places that can attract more attention. It’s hard to go viral on social media but it can happen. You would have to post a lot of music on RU-vid to receive over a million views and find more social platforms to present your music and request more people. The more people listen to you, the more buzz you get. The objective is to gain the most eyes and ears you can get. Instead of having a thousand listeners, the goal would be to gain more..
Yeah it kinda sucks how there's no notable hip hop artists from south carolina. I know other places in the east coast,The Midwest, and The West Coast And certain parts of The South such as Georiga,North Carolina,Virginia,Florida, and even Mississippi do have some notable hip hop artists but not the Palmetto State. And I was born and raised in South Carolina. You would probably find more Country Artists in South Carolina than you would find any hip hop artists to be honest.
Half of the problem is South Carolina rappers want to sound like Atlanta. They need to just find their own wave/sound. Florida rappers have differentiated and diversified themselves from the rest of the south which is why talent is always blowing up there.
@@itsrelativ3967 Plus the few rappers from here that do have a different type of sound either die before getting on ( 18Veno ) or can't stay outta prison ( Deezy Mcduffie )
@@WittynotSilly Yea I'm in Florida originally from NJ with fam from SC. If SC had J.Cole or Kendrick Lamar types of artists going hard it'll be more doors opening. All that trap stuff is oversaturated.
bro we too Damn real for these industry mfs to handle. they not gone give us a chance but Shid if they do I'm takin over. I'm the hottest thing smoking rn.
He right most of the industry is related. They all friends. We don’t have no friends in the game. Me and my guy toured China and nobody came to interview us when we got home. He right they use us to get a check. I feel like we need to just worry bout us. Put each other on. We bring you to Cola you bring us to the Chuck. We bring you to Sumter you bring us to G-Vegas. Nobody gon do it but us!!!!
I think the biggest artist South Carolina has had so far as rap is Speaker Knockerz he was really starting to blow up right before he passed I feel like if he was still alive South Carolina rap would be on the map
People keep saying this. Jeezy was born in Columbia but he moved to Georgia when he was a toddler and lived his entire life there. It's crazy how many SC people try to claim Jeezy. It looks desperate.
He spittin real shit. I have been in this genre my whole life and I'm from the Chuck. I remember when we weren't that big and I have watched our city blow up with tourism, fucking transplants coming here fucking up our way of life, over crowding our communities, film industries come here to film movies, big screen and small. Huge commercial companies like Google, Boeing, Volvo and list goes on. They come to our state live in our communities enjoy our customs and our way of life but for some fucking reason our original style and sound of rap takes a lot of shorts and I don't know why. We have so many talented artists, rap artists in Charleston it don't make any sense for our talent to be overlooked. It's like he said, it's all about that paper and they got to get their palms greased to put anyone from Charleston on. .
B Kill was one of the hardest artist from Charleston. Long live Kill he still one of the hardest rappers out here.... Maybe in SC yall should look him up
Jay Jones i agree lil ru was popping.. They hated on him so much and straight crabed on him.. He actually a cool brother. Hell he actually stop and showed me love when i shout out his name.. I was leaving out my job at the time.. kfc on garnersferry road in the metro some years ago.. I was hyped after that!
I think the real reason is that there isn't a real music scene here. Anyone that is successful ups and leaves to bigger cities (for obvious reasons). I'm from Walterboro, and I've kinda cultivated a lil following online and made some money from it, but no one here really knows who I am or would really give a shit here. It's just not a good scene for rap music. You ever notice that everybody raps here? Your cousin raps, your uncle raps, your best friend's aunt is starting a label; but nobody is capitalizing because there just isn't a market for it here like there are in big "entertainment cities" like Atlanta, Memphis, LA, NY, etc.
Kill Bill: The Rapper iam from NY moved to smoaks SC went to high school in walterboro SC and now I live in Lompoc CA I know about the music scene out there too and it really is none.
MeLMaNN Robinson yeah you know what I’m talking about. It’s just dead. All the venues are shitty too, people would rather go to Charleston to see a show or something anyway, and it’s usually for people out of state 🤷♂️
people think we sound like alanta but we dont alanta got mumble rappers n shit we rap real street shit💯 thats why they mad n they dont wont to put us on cause we going to come hard as shit fr #real shit #843 #westcash
Darius Barnwell HELL YEA BRA...IT SOOO MANY MF'AS WILL MAKE IT, IT ONE CLICK...FRM ONE AREA CODE MAKE IT, BE IT 803...843...864, IT'S ALOT COMING BEHIND THT
Problem is no one wants real gangster and dealers in the industry to expose the fake artist.. they know the talent is everywhere out here they just dont wanna show us the love but trust we gonna get out there soon...
Much Love my brother...im tired of the game overlooking SC I make beats..... fuck that trapmusic shit....we gotta create our own style and move as the leaders we are
Where can I find your beats? I produce aswell , I’m originally from NJ, but currently live in SC, I’ve been looking for some back back rappers to send my beats to, But I have no luck
Lil Ru from S.C. "the nasty song" he was signed to Def Jam. Young Scooter from S.C. and his shit goes hard and he's down with Future the biggest rapper the world right now. Thats about it.
Talent isn’t the issue to me. It’s just the fact that Charleston doesn’t support their own music and I’m from Summerville. I love Pachino Dino who I supported on iTunes. Which his music was sign with Sony records. So yes someone from Charleston has made it.
Truth is not enough talent as rapper, or making beats...Stop copying other artists shit cover your on hearts get organized and original by going underground...Stop looking for someone to Put SC on map...Hustle be the map...its not about the bread, its about getting your music out as pure as it going to bee!!! Just spreading love from an independent management side of the game...Peace
SC rappers haven't made it yet bcuz they dont understand the biz. You wont ever get anywhere without the knowledge and vision necessary to reach those goals.
@@kaylamack2790 there are different levels of success in the minds of SC rappers. Most think they've made it bcuz of Hood fame. SC dont support themselves. There are so many ways to make a name for yourself in this business.
Big shout out to the 843 n da 803!!!! I was born down dey in da Chuck but I Grew up in Orangeburg. SC need to throw concerts n do shows for their own artist here n pay them the money that they would pay these other rapper's n singers from other state's to come here n perform. No disrespect to none of the artist out there. Y'all states do it for y'all all I'm saying is that our state needs to do for their own rt here. It would draw much attention n get them put on the map a lot faster!!!!! IJS
Bottom line. They think we are country and ignorant. Country folks are some of the smartest breed of folks outchea. We might have some Black Hillbillies tho. This is also an retirement state. Hmmmmm
