Not bad for something made on the hoof. At least they will be dry when it rains. Some straw bedding would be nice tho’, that ground is mighty hard. Good effort. Take care, be safe. ❤ Dorset, UK

I love the goat house. I used 4 t post & 2 cattle panels ( I used bailing twine to lace the two panels together) & made me a hay shed with a tarp cover. I can put 21 square bales of hay in it. It works great for what I need it for.

A little trick when unloading those panels. Tie or chain the bottoms together so you can easily remove it from your truck without it unbending

Hi David -- If you had built a higher frame, then the cattle panels would have been higher up, so that you didn't have to bend down when you go into it. You can always add an extra base to the existing one to make it much higher.

I was just going to say the same thing about tying the bottom. Another suggestion what we did when we built our pens that were almost the same as yours however instead of using the staples, we took another 2x6 and screwed them together, pinching the hoop steel. Just a thought

That turned out really well. Domino was so cute under Eclipse's table when you were getting the lumber with Uber. He loves everyone. A little cuddle bug.

I think the HoopCoop is a great idea, and easy to move when ya need to move the goats around. Great job. An indoor/outdoor Kitchen sounds great, you'll really love the idea come winter. Love seeing WhiteRock visiting!

We used the cattle panel idea for a greenhouse three years ago in our suburban backyard and it is still working for us!! We have a door on one side and a window in the back for our cross breeze. Great job!! Domino loves new visitors!! I love the kitchen idea!! That is a great solution!

Add bracing to the lower corners to strengthen them and they will hold up much better when you go to move it. I've made 4 of them for our chickens. The corner bracing also made great places to sit the waterers.

If those staples work themselves loose around the base, I’ve found that the best thing to attach those panels with is pipe hanger strapping. You can snip it to size and put a few screws in it. Works great!

Tennis elbow is generally treated with a very small brace that puts pressure on the strained tendon and anchors it in place. You’d be surprised at the return to normal strength with the band put in the correct position.

Great ideas, David! We also had the same idea with pallets on the sides for a temporary shelter when we would come camp on our property with my horses before we put in a house. We have since reused the panels many times over for other things. Yours with the wood on the ends will last for years if the goats don't eat it 😂 AND the kitchen, can't wait to see what you do there!!

Hi David hope your elbow gets well soon. The goats and Eclipse house is looking good. Be careful the snakes are starting to hibernate. They could be anywhere. I had same problem with my elbow and got the shot in my elbow. I was skeptical but within couple days it was gone and hasn't hurt in 2 years since. Definitely worth doing.

Hey David have you considered taking that truck bed trailer you were gifted and putting a shed on it for the goats. Great mobile goat shed that could be moved all over the mountain. The tailgate could be their porch and a few boards laid up to it would be a great ramp. Just a suggestion.

Elbow Pain solution... buy a 5 pound dumb bell and start doing reps with both arms when you're sitting around. Start with 20 with each arm and do 5 reps and slowly build up to 50 on each arm . I'm 61 and earlier this year, I couldn't do anything with my right arm due to elbow pain. It was horrible, I couldn't even pick up a gallon jug of milk. After a month of doing these exercises every day, my elbow pain disappeared. I, too, tried about 20 different types of cream, and nothing worked. A 3 dollar dumb bell did the trick though.

You could get a couple of cheap wheels from Harbor Freight to put on one end to facilitate moving the hoop coop from area to area

Just a suggestion but two handles on both ends with a rope would make it easier to pull a couple feet when moving to new ground. I also was thinking you could make rollup doors with the left over tarp. This was a great project that you can check off the list.
