whiteazn 2 I think judging by how the Evo pulled away from the SS, and then how the ZR1 pulled away from it aswell. The ZR1 looks to be abit faster and more consistent. When the guy is actually shifting gears properly that is.

Evo ate all their food. 4g63 is insane! Needs stronger teeth on the gears now for that power. Probably shaved all the teeth off the gear. My uncle did that twice in his 400hp toyota MRS. So he got custom gears that had a less # of teeth which made each teeth thicker and stronger. So far so good. Haha after the evo retired I lost all interest.

Loved my evo but this is why i got rid of it and got my Cts-v, got so sick of working on it and throwing parts at it. Love both cars but love the reliability of my V
Mustang Dynos dont read low, they just read Accurate! My Evo made 400awhp on a Mustang and damn near 500 on a Dyna Comp Lmao So if you want accurate numbers, find a Mustang Dyno. IDK why shops even get Dyna Comps or DynaJet or Dynapack
I don't know what it is but in every single video from many different channels these 4 cylinders with 600+ are always breaking. Either the trans is breaking, turbos blowing, engine breaking, driveshaft issues. It seems to me that 4 cylinders just aren't built for more than 500 hp. They never make it through the whole video.

Cylinders have little impact on whether a car can be fast. If you think that then you're perception of cars and engines aren't very good. The amount of work and money spent on the car, aswell as the design of the engine and amounts of boost that it's running will determine how fast it is. That guy clearly said "you name it and it's been done to the car" Meaning he spent thousands upon thousands of dollars to get that Evo where it is. If the same was done to any of those other cars, they'd have 1000+ wheel horsepower and leave the Evo far in their mirrors. Since you can see most of them had no more than just Bolt ons or nitrous, which are minor upgrades. Trust me I love Japanese cars just as much as American cars, I have a 8th gen Civic. But let's be real here, 4 cylinders can only hang with those v8s if they are modified far more than the others. And that makes them much more unreliable aswell, this video including many others that I've seen, it's always the high horsepower 4 cylinders breaking. Because they struggle to handle the power
This is why you don't want to own a Evo they are always breaken down these cars are not reliable after you heavy modify them. Thats what you need to do to beat a V8 and lots of $$$$$ not worth the trouble having a modify evo. All this crap in this car and guess he will have to spend a lot more money. No thanks
ive had my evo for 4 years as a daily and it hasn't let me down once i think your just a bit butthurt that all those v8s got there ass kicked by a 2ltr engine
