One of the best 80s classics of all time! Judge Reinholds character is my favorite. He goes through some shit like getting fired from All American burger which really wasn't his fault considering the customer was an asshole to him even after he said he would help him get his money back on the undercooked breakfast that he had eaten most of.

Agree! Judge in this movie reminds me so much of one my brother in laws who grew up during this time. Grinding from job to job while everyone else was getting blasted

It is amazing to watch this movie and see all of the future stars that emerged. Heck 3 of them went on to win Oscars; Sean Penn, Forest Whitaker & Nicolas Cage - who was an extra in this movie!

1. JAILBAIT 2. This was Forest Whitaker's (Jefferson) first roll. 3. Nicholas Cage's first gig also. 4. That table size in the restaurant was done on purpose. 5. Jefferson would have been kicked out of the game. 6. That pool scene when Linda comes out of the water is the most paused on VCR's in history. 7. The hot blonde in the convertible is Heart's very own Nancy Wilson. She was Cameron Crowe's squeeze at the time. 8. LOVE Mrs. Vargas (better than Linda). 9. Mr. Vargas/Vincent Schiavelli played the train ghost in "Ghost" and one of the patients in "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest". 10. They were really smoking pot in that van. 11. I liked Mr. Hand. I had one in High School. Just do what you're supposed to do and everything will be fine. 12. My High School had a live band in the late 70s and in a smaller town.

Wow that was fast!! Thanks for a great review. You guys always have me laughing. My close friend in high school used to work at the mall...I was too cool for that though so I worked at Baskin Robbins. I guess it seemed a lot more cool in high school. Question...who in your opinion is worse...Mike Damone or John Bender? Oh, and Surf Nazis DO rule!!

High dollar requests get turned out in a week or less! We’re capitalists after all…lol I never had a cool job in high school…or as an adult, I guess 😂😂 Damone was worse IMO bc he was fake. Bender, whilst being cynical and a cry baby, was intelligent and knew he was an a-hole.

Also I think you're overlooking the fact that Stacey only showed interest in Damone after Rat basically ran out on her. She probably felt rejected because, as she said to Linda, "He shows no interest in me" and so didn't think it would be construed as cheating to be with Damone, the town idiot.
