Fast-Tube™ is a revolutionary column form replacing cardboard tubes (SonoTubes) to form concrete columns for residential or commercial use.
Manufactured from high strength fabric, Fast-Tube™ comes on rolls of 120' and in diameters ranging from 6" to 24".
As Fast-Tube is shipped flat; it is 1% the space of Cardboard tubes.
Fast-Tube is quicker to install than Sonotubes, and results in no waste as you cut your columns to an exact length.

Since the rebar was not set into the foundation, there is nothing holding the column in place.

Rebar is coming up from the concrete pad, and vertical rebar in the column can be installed before or immediately after concrete is placed.

Well there’s the problem of no connection to the foundation with rebar which is an inherent failure under lateral racking.

Absolutely! I got goossebumps when i saw that lack of steel rebar. Here in Mexico we go to Jail if we do shit like this. Amazingly, it seems the US housing construction system does not meet the minimum securitys.

There will be vertical rebar coming up out of the concrete pad to connect it the vertical steel in the column.

Not possible with the system. Gravity is our friend with this product and will always come out round. What lots of customers do is use Fast-Tube for 90% of the column, and form a short square column ontop at a later date.

Hi Bill. There is no difference structurally between using Fast-Tube and Sonotube. Same amount of concrete and rebar.

We are based on the west coast of Canada, a very high seismic zone. You can achieve any strength column with Fast-Tube. Just add additional rebar or concrete thickness. We are only supplying a different way to form the concrete.

@@FabFormIndustries Well, I didn't say it for the Fast-Tube itself, I said it for the little amount steel you are using in this video. I'm from Chile, and here the standard reinforced concrete is made with a lot more and wider steel. That's how my house suffer not damage at all after the 8.8 Mw earthquake of 2010. The idea is still okay I guess.

The cardboard tibes are a faster install, no stapling, patting down the tube just cut and attach braces

Not from what we have seen. Typically you need to create a box of 2x4's at top and bottom of Sonotube to be able to kick off of to keep the walls plumb. Plus all the waste, transportation costs, and it not being waterproof.
