What I've learned is everyone's brush patterns are different. For example. I do my sides last! I start with the back then go left to right. Then do the front right to left. I lock in by brushing the left side. Then the right side last. Those are my 8. It was tough forming a beehive crown. But the swirl came in so SICK and easy! Wasn't going to fight that! Came out better than I imagined. But yeah people may have to adjust the 8 strokes in their own way for faster connections.

@@user-dv1fc7rp3cyou can use pomade just fine. Just not too much. Like a dime sized and not everyday. Also, try to look into ones that are better besides Murray's like ColdLabel. If Murray's is what you have, then use it. Wave community looks down on pomade alot but that doesn''t mean you can't use it if it works for you or it's all you have. Just make sure to shampoo regularly. Try oil when you're able to get some and see what you prefer. Always listen to your hair before anyone else. If it ain't right, it ain't right. Try something else. It's a process lol what may work for someone else may not work for you and vice versa. The more you do, the more it will come together over time.

My cheat code... Never heard on RU-vid but I'm sure wavers do this. If your hair is hard to train and show waves. As you make progress.... After you wash the first time and the major dirt and oil is gone. Wash that bit a second time. Nice lather right? Rag up. Let it dry out all the way. And DO NOT RINSE. Take it off. Waves perfect! Sometimes I'll wear it out that day. Hair smelling good of course. Lol. Add product later that day after a brush session. Or just add the product then and there. Rag up for at least 15 minutes again and wear it for the day. Rinsing the shampoo out for me messes mines up. That's the best hack. And NO shampoo bubbles don't pop out if I happen to sweat during the day. Hair continues to smell great and stay laid. Thank me later👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
