The speed is stunning. What is more mind blowing is the precision, intonation, and left and right hand "cover" techniques he can preform at those speeds, not to mention the incredible amount of retention and endurance required. There are few in the world that command a fretboard as he does.

this video is one of the reasons I decided to try out the guitar. It just looked like such a fun instrument to play although it was harder than it seemed to play. Now about 3 years later it's still fun nonetheless but im just starting to get into music theory and all the technical side of things lmao

The guy in this video is an amazing guitar player, there is no doubt about that. I must have wached this video 20 times in a row the first time I saw it just because of how amazing(imo) the playing is. I probably watch this video a couple of times a day because it is inspiring and very enjoyable. Also, the title of the video is "click-bait". So, before you feel the compulsion to post something negative to dismiss the guys playing, just enjoy the music and ignore the title and you'll feel much better about yourself.

wow so many people hating for him using a pick. ya, it's not traditional flamenco fingerpicking style, but get over it. this is a pretty technical piece he's playing. still takes years of practice and is hella impressive.

honestly when I saw this video the first time it inspired and motivated me to learn to play flamenco. You have a great talent and you can tell that you play the guitar with your heart.

I guess no one here has heard of Al Di Meola, Paco De Lucia, John McLaughlin. Hardly the ...est of anything. He's fast. I'll give him that.

I'm in a tough position on whether I should use a pick or not. I'm a guitarist, and I play in both rock, jazz, and classical settings. On one hand, I want to develop my fingers, because I think that if developed, they could be better, faster, and more versatile than a pick. On the other hand, I have the issue of palm muting, sweep picking (I know those kind of arpeggios can be done without a pick, but they involve either repeating fingers or crossing over yourself. Plus, it's just freaking hard) as well as the issue of strings ringing out when I'm playing with distortion. Yes, I play classical fingerstyle on a steel string electric, electromagnetic pickups don't work with nylon strings (and the trebles wouldn't fit in the nut). I have this issue of not being able to do everything I want to be able to without repeatedly picking up and dropping picks. I've tried hybrid picking, but it doesn't let me have good hand posture (position? Idk the word but it's not comfortable when you use your a and c fingers (I use c just as much as the other fingers because why not? It seems inefficient to not use it) but anyways, my main problem is the strings ringing out, because I can sort of get a crude palm muting sound by putting my c on the string and playing with my other fingers. I can't do it with my left hand when I'm playing fast, because I'd be playing the trebles mostly. I can't do it with my wrist on the bridge, again, it makes playing fingerstyle really hard, and I don't want to use a fret wrap, because then I can't play the open strings when I want to. Anyways that's my issue and also, I don't mind if you use a pick to play this style of music, just don't do it with nylon strings, it doesn't sound good. Okay I'm done carry on.

And 2) If yes, how can you play a Classical Guitar in an Acoustic Western Steel String position and not a typical footstool classical position? Can beginner classical guitarists such as myself follow this?
