FASTEST BOEING 747 DEPARTURE EVER - 15 Seconds Take - Off Run of a B747 (HD)

This Boeing 747 of Wamos Air performed the fastest Boeing 747 take-off run I have ever seen. Just have a look at the "rubber-marks" on runway 23L. The aircraft rotated just near touchdown area which is just incredible. I counted about 15 seconds till the nose lifted up. The B747 was completly empty and departed back home to Madrid after operating a few flights for Sun Express. Wamos Air is a frequent visitor at Düsseldorf. Whenever an Airline needs a backup plane Wamos visits us to help out.
I also incuded a few Boeing 747` s I filmed at Hahn back in the days, when we still had snow in Germany. I am waiting for snow since about two months now and to be honest after watching the 14 day forecast a few minutes ago I do not expect snow anytime soon.
Thanks for watching, new videos every tuesday and friday.

747 is the most beautiful as most people say, no doubt. IMO especially the later series with the longer upper decks. Just a beautiful sight, landing or taking off! And you can see how precisely aerodynamic the body is. I love the lower belly view of this dude, Or the front view. Really really wish I had gotten into aviation when I was younger. My first 747 flight was from a bus gate at JFK when I was 17. I still recall getting off of the bus, looking up at this huge machine, and saying to myself, "It's impossible for anything this big to fly.." I'm kinda glad that impression was wrong, that the engineers had figured everything out to allow something that big not only to fly, but to fly from JFK to FRA.

Orville lived until 1948 and was able to see a bit of where things were headed, but the 747 is such a spectacular aircraft. That initial takeoff was awesome, but the bit I watched repeatedly was the Qatar Amiri Flight clips - those markings make the already majestic plane absolutely stunning! I fell in love with a 747 as a child in the 1970s - I remember when we would fly KLM, after the plane had reached cruising altitude, some of the pilots would have the stewardesses invite any kids on the plane to see the cockpit. I *had* to have the miniature KLM 747 they sold, and the fascination with planes, flight, and particularly the 747 was sparked and never left

We have the B747-400F in at our airfield regularly. I have to carry out runway inspections after every departure up to the lift off point, as it all depends on your runway width with regards to regulatory compliance. On a good day, when operating light with a bit of headwind, they can get up using about 850m of runway with derated thrust. Pretty incredible!

I flew on one years ago from DFW to LAX, a night flight with less than 100 passengers on board and presumably a relatively light load of fuel for the 1250 mile trip. I'm telling you, that big boy flat hooked 'em up during the takeoff roll. Felt more like a business jet. The one we took from DFW to Tel Aviv, loaded with 400 passengers and 7000 miles, took seemingly FOREVER to rotate. I was waiting for the crash after we ran out of runway....LOL

The 747s were the game changer for the Airlines that operated these magnificent Queen of the skies , from the Seventies till 2015 ( though some are still in service with LH , BA (Passenger) and many Converted as freighters . Having served an International Airline for 33 years , I can proudly state that the comfort and safety that this Aircraft offered was unparalleled.. the reason that these giant flying machines have been withdrawn is due to the advent of fuel efficient and technologically advanced B777s , B787s , AB330/340 .. but the B747s , fondly called the Jumbos , have the best safety records .. cheers

Flown about 150 times on 747-400 (and -200 long ago). Take-off roll is typically anywhere from 30 to 55 seconds, depending upon passengers, cargo, fuel load. A loaded long-haul flight (like DTW-NRT 13 hrs) may take 55 seconds. A seasonal commuter flight (747 short-haul) or a shorter international flight (like NRT-BKK 6 hrs) might take just 30 seconds to airborne. B747 is a powerful beast, but when fully loaded for long-haul can easily use up nearly the entire runway, just a few seconds after wheels up no more runway.

Good evening from Athens! My last ever take off, of my career, was from Jan Smuts in October 2000 to Athens...(because the A340's took over) The experience in Joburg , was weird....due to the altitude. Somewhere in the middle of the take off run , always the speed rise used to stagnate......(quite uncomfortable)...... So to answer to your comment , I have tried it ...lol....many times!..... The take off speeds (in knots) vary acc to specific parameters of the specific flight..... ps.here is a video of mine , landing in Joburg,....i don't have a take off one , because it was always critical , and no time for games..... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PH9NSaLz38Y.html Thank you for reading this

What great memories from 1969 till 1983 I flew from Jhb to Athens on Olympic every year in the July holidays to visit my family in Greece. The early flights were on the 707 and then on the 747 I think the plane we mostly flew on was the Olympic Eagle. I flew again for the last time in the olympic eagle Dec 1999 it was a very hot day and early evening when we took off the flight was full and heavy loaded and I remember the flight crew telling us that the take off was very challenging . As always the flight was beautiful. Greek air crews were superb airmen. There was a joke that the Olympic eagle has done the the Jhb Ath route so many times that the plan could fly the route itself. When the 747 were discontinued I felt the loss deep in my soul. I few Olympic till the last flight and now I hate having to spend my money on other airlines to go to Greece. I hope that a Greek airline starts flying to Jhb again. God bless you sir

@@peterfrimas1539 Καλό μήνα! Thank you very much for your kind words Peter! Unfortunately I don't see any long range Greek airline in the near future!... Greetings from Athens.
