Summary of this video:
2 years to citizenship:
Argentina - very popular, system is overloaded, so it usually takes longer
Peru - off the radar, best food in the World
Dominican Republic - even possible in 6 months with an investment into property
3 years to citizenship:
Armenia - not as liveable, some people love it
Honduras - too dangerous IMO, but Roatan is nice
Paraguay - in some cases 3, in some 5-7
Bolivia - not worth it, terrible passport and dangerous
Ecuador - obviously, I don't recommend
4 years to citizenship:
Brazil - heading down socialism
Nicaragua - dictatorship, don't recommend much
Now, if you are open to having a child in another country, then we have way more options:
Argentina and Brazil - both pretty much immediate for both child and parents
Mexico - 2 years, immediate permanent residency for parents, immediate citizenship for child
Colombia - 2 years, trickier option
Panama - 3 years, immediate citizenship for the child
There's also citizenship by marriage, but I don't recommend it, given the horrible downside of marrying the wrong person or for the wrong reasons.

Serbia is also 3 years now. You get a temporary residence permit, which for several causes lasts exactly 3 years. After 3 years you can apply for a permanent residence permit, and immediately afterwards - for citizenship. You'd have to give up your other citizenship, though, unless you have Serb ancestors.

Sure, take that out and it's quite appealing, but given the whole ethos of flag theory etc. is to go where you're treated best, and have the ability to free yourself from the constraints of one citizenship, it seems a bit off. Brazil does not extradite its citizens, but it will enforce foreign sentences if a person is found guilty abroad. For instance, the football player Robinho was convicted of rape by a Spanish court. Spain requested his extradition to serve his sentence there, but Brazil denied the request, as it does not extradite its nationals. However, Brazil upheld the Spanish court’s decision, and Robinho is now serving his sentence in Brazil.

A landlocked country like Paraguay is dependent on air imports. In the case of international conflict it would be stuck. With citizenship you would also be subject to their laws without any recourse to your original country because the second country you are in would have priority over you if you are their citizen.
@Daniel_RG
@Daniel_RG 7 месяцев назад
@@dovygoodguy1296 What? Paraguay does not "depend on air imports", it has access to the Atlantic Ocean through the Paraguay-Parana rivers, they even have a navy! And they are connected by road to 3 countries including the World's 9th largest economy. In any case, Paraguay is a member of Mercosur, you can live/work almost anywhere in South America 5 years after receiving your passport.
