You can use smokers instead of the "normal" furnaces. That makes the farm faster and more efficient

You can speed it up by using a smoker or as mentioned you can use composers instead of furnaces, or smokers and make it into a very fast and efficient bone meal farm

Used smokers instead of furnaces and they still became overwhelmed with the amount of kelp produced. Had to flip the lever so the smokers could catch up with production. This kelp farm worked beyond my expectations. Thank you so much for the tip.

Just a tip guys, the machine can break and leak water out the side so make sure you put blocks in front of the water.

My machine was working flawlessly but I came back and the kelp had been pushed off the sand, and the redstone behind my repeater was gone. Not only that, but when I reset the farm, two of the trap doors keep opening to the rhythm of the pistons. Any pointers or has anyone experienced anything similar?

Probably an enderman, watched one do it to mine right after i built it. Little bugger snatched a sand block(I replaced along with kelp and all was well.) Also the trap doors are supposed to flap when machine is functioning properly.

This farm is really damn useful . After i completed the farm i stayed afk for just 10 minutes and it produced 3 stacks of dried kelp blocks , which means in 1 hour you can generate almost 30 stacks of dried kelp blocks ! Thats damn efficient ! But here is a problem as i mentioned i stayed afk for just 10 minutes but , it takes almost 2 hours to smelt the kelp ( with a smoker ) . So use a smoker instead of furnaces . This is very useful for early game fuel . Btw 1 stack of coal is enough for the furnaces Very good build by BattleWar 🙌

Can you make this in a world that allows more than one person? I made it in creative and it worked great! Brought it into my other world with my friends and it's delayed just enough where the sand falls too far and breaks the kelp after like 5 times. Any suggestions?

Mine ended up breaking/not working after I turned it off because it was over flowing. The sand and the kelp disappeared and when I replaced them, it stopped working.

I extended it to 12 columns. It worked at first. After that i built another unit of 12 columns in the same chunk mirrored to the first unit and that broke both units. Both units are chunk aligned.
