I always complement Donna for her great work, this time I also want to express my gratititide to the family member (son?) who is the videographer and editor for their hard work in getting things in frame, keeping everything in focus, and for the clarity of your shots. I learn more, faster when I can see clearly what Donna is doing. Thank you to everyone on your team ❤️🇨🇦❤️
You know what I am always impressed by how greatthese videos are! I find when I watch others I'm always saying to myself wait I didn't see that! get closer! And backing up the video several times to see if I can figure something out with these I never do that.
Our son James does all the directing, videography and editing. He is not a quilter which is really a plus because if we film something and it is not easy for him to understand, we re-do that section until it is very clear how to do each procedure. He is also responsible for getting me to lose the "grim reaper" face that I sometimes have when I am concentrating very hard - it isn't a good look for a tutorial! 😁
I love that you give practical quilting tips. The demonstration of trimming the squares using a standard ruler and then the strip tube ruler was brilliant. It made the project accessible to everyone regardless of the material/supplies available. Thank you!
Not sure how I missed this pillow set, but I love it!!!! Thank you so much for your clear and concise tutorials. Videos are always clear, and the extra tips you drop all the time are great little nuggets that make everything go so smoothly. Jordan Fabrics is my favorite sewing channel! Goid job, everyone...you're the best!
I really like watching your videos. I have made several quilts using your directions. Thank you. But I just want to say I LOVE your hair. I hope I'm not overstepping boundaries., but I just had to comment. You look fabulous.
Donna, you are such an accomplished textile artist! Everything from color choice to original patterns is amazing. The instructions in your tutorials are clear and have created a space for beginning quilters have success.
So many great tips! I especially like the one about how you place your blocks to keep them in order and make sure you are sewing them in the correctly. Love the pillow pattern! Such a great last minute gift idea!
Thank you so very much for the free pattern for the he pillow covers. I have finished my first cover and I wanted to send you a picture of it. I loved making it!!
Thank you for this pillow idea...I need a couple last minute gifts for family. As always your instruction on cutting, piecing, and finishing are concise, and informative.
What a serendipitous video! Firstly, I need a gift for my sister for this weekend and she would love these cushions, so I'll just have to make one. And secondly, the Upstream tutorial was the first of yours I ever found, and I adored it. I've been watching loads of your videos since and have learnt heaps. Thank you!!
I love how you explain what to do in simple terms. I would love to make that Chevron pillow in a small lap quilt. It's beautiful. I wish I could just come hang out with you. It's so relaxing watching you work.
I have a grunch of small squares, leftovers from many projects....this pillow project is just the answer to how to utilize the scraps. Perhaps enough for pillows and a small scappy lap throw! Kudos Donna!!!
Beautiful pillows Donna, I have learned how to do the pillow backs as you show and have had some lovely comments from everyone on how clever they are .Thank you for sharing your expertise I have learned such a lot from watching you guide us through your quilts and projects
As a professional nurse such serious work I often told my boss, she didn't understand my expression of concentration, but now I understand the grim reaper look! You are beautiful and knowledgeable and I have learned so much from you. Never ever saw that look. Thanks for the chuckle. And bless your family keep up the great work.
Beautiful! Another fantastic tutorial. I like your added fold method on the envelope back of the pillow. Thank you Donna and family. I love the fast shipping of my orders too!
I can sit and watch your videos all day long while I sew.. Just love them. AND I am really happy with the pkg of Matt's Hand Cut jellyroll. I HATE pinked edges. Won't buy anything that has them. Matt to the rescue.
I love your work and videos. This reminds me of the Ripple Pattern I used to crochet two afghans many years ago. I think your pattern would make a beautiful quilt (eather way you turn the patchwork). Thank you for this video.
I absolutely love all of your videos so much!! I noticed in the background that there is a lot of different shelves and a whole new set up in the retail store. Could you and Matt do another tour of what has changed since you have had to make changes due to the current situation we find ourselves in. Thanks so much for all you do!!!
Those shelves are in my studio! We are overflowing with fabric and pre-cuts and have product stuffed everywhere. I'll see if we can do another tour of all the spaces in an upcoming video.
Donna,You are such a GREAT teacher,I love watching and learning from you!! And as soon as this video is done I'm off to my fabric room to grab some 10 inch squares to start these pillows!! I just made the little boy and girl elf the other day that I bought from you guys like a year ago or longer and I forgot I had them! OMG they were so easy and adorable!! Thanks so much!
Oh I love how you show us sooo basics bcuz I have such a difficult time going from the layout on the floor to the sewing machine. I always screw it up. I love love your videos. It’s also ur voice Donna ! So peaceful and such a great teacher. Great videography tooooooo!!!
If I'm making a bunch of hsts I use the methods to make 4, 8, or 16 at a time. I so appreciate that Donna taught me how to get hsts without the smiley face!
That black print just pops... Thank You for this pattern. I have never made a Chevron before but this pattern and your demonstration pushed me to make one. Thank You again.
Thank you Donna...I just love the way your tutorials are from start to finish and how you explain as you go. Also the extra tidbits about the pinked edges and other problems that I seem to have while I am quilting. I simply love your fabric, pre-cuts and tutorials which I watch frequently. !!
Lol, really thought the pillow was going to be too big for the case. Both patterns looked great, but my fav is the squares/diamonds design. Love your tutorials, Donna. Thank you.
This is a terrific idea. I agree that your video is excellent in detail and your son never seems to get you in an unflattering shot. I like the way it is edited to down to here's what I've got to say I just said it and we move on. I bought a couple of thrift store pillows and pulled out the inserts to do this project, they were brand new. It is 1 way to make it a little more cost effective than what Craft store gets for a pillow insert and it also reuses synthetic material so it doesn't end up in the landfill.
Love this pattern! Love these fabrics! And with the way you make the pillows I can indulge in multiple seasonal covers to change on the bed or sofa! I learn so much about quilting watching you Donna!
Outstanding tutorial, you always do such a great job explaining the directions. The ruler hack was one I had never seen. I will be using that one. I also often get rows out of order, but the way you stacked up and turned over your blocks will help me as well. Thank you very for your excellent instruction.
