It's exactly the swing it needs to be efficient. Axes, malls and hammers are "impact-tools" and following the "principle of linear momentum" speed is much more effective than weight - double weight=double impact, double speed=4x impact.
I’m 6’5”. The first year I used my splitter my back was killing me. Finally put a couple of jack stands under it. What a difference. That was 30 years ago. I’m 70 ,.. my boy splits now Enjoy your channel. Learned a lot
There's a reason why manual labour with your father in particular is good for your mental health. Approval is your reward and in your mind there's no greater approval than the person you cherish and respect most (your father). He raised a truly great son into a amazing man, your father has staggering hidden power behind his swing with that Fiskers in his hands.
Great to see father and son working together with love! I’d give all I have to be able to split a cord with my ol man! Rest his soul. Now that means I’d be running a 8 pound maul as he sat and instructed me whilst drinking a cold beer. And that would be just fine! Thank for the video . Love y’all from Tennessee
Love your videos man. Was going through a pretty rough spot but your videos reignited my passion for logging and axes, helped pull me out from a dark place.
Lol, I regret to admit I've been forced to split firewood as well as bucking with a chainsaw in crocs. Both times were due to forgetting my work boots at home. It was far from fun, but I kept all my digits. I don't forget my boots much anymore...
Love the splitter and love to see you and your dad as 300 years of experience!!! Greetings from Hamburg Germany It’s a been a while since I have watched your videos to much trouble going around but now I’m happy to be back!!!
Just purchased this splitter today after seeing the reviews on this channel a year or two ago... looking forward to splitting many cords in the near future. Thanks for sharing Buckin'! All the best friends.
Buckin' Billy you are awesome. Watching you and your old man work together is heart warming. I haven't had many chances to work with my father but I always really enjoyed it when I did.
Been looking at those Fiskars and couldn’t justify the cost bc I wasn’t sure how well they worked. Your dad makes them look like winners. Fiskars should sponsor him!!!!! Love you guys!!!!
Hey Buckin', I just want to say its awesome and I really enjoy watching all of your videos. Your random words of motivation and Encouragement are much needed in this day and age. Thanks again and I cant wait for the next one!
Got to love those kinetic splitters ! Got to keep Pops hands off the end of those logs ! I raised my splitter up belly button high and put a table on both sides . Take care . Joe
I started loving wood, enthusiastically (I've loved wood, leather, and cork since I was a young boy) in the last year. Something about fatwood, knowing I can start a fire....I let that spark burn and take off inside me in the last year. Stumbled across your channel, and you've given me endless positive feelings.
Your pops is an amazing ol' boy! You can tell he's never taken the short cuts and worked for what he's got. Hope I can work like that when I get there. Should feel proud Buckin! Love the channel brother👊
Love the time you get with the man. It was the greatest moments of my life. I think pop's a little faster than the splitter it a close one. God bless you both.
I love splitting wood, the way it feels getting work done, watching my pile get bigger is quite satisfying. Even the Lemonade tastes better when your working with friends.
Buckin, I am sitting here, doing rehab after a hip replacement, I love seeing you and your dad splitting wood together, the process your old man uses is the same process that I use and have for the last 50 years. I love the old school way.
I'm finally getting control over my ASD and MDD and I really need to get my kids out of this city life asap. I've always been a natureboy but I've been disabled for a very long time. I really need to kick some ass.
Never seen a splitter like that! No hoses hanging and holy cow it's fast see where you get the great work ethic. Boy your dad no slouch 💪 always good to see you working together.
I dont see to many people work hard like that any more. And to see your dad right there with you. Pretty special to be able to enjoy that time with him. Love to vids.
Thank you for this video. I took your advice that scrolled across the screen at about 22:30. "Men, if yer mental health is suffering humble physical labor will repair it " It worked for me today. I just wanted you to know that you effected me in a very positive way. Thank you!
Buckin, what an awesome day with your dad! Really touched home and how my dad and I shared working together. What I would give brother! Love to you and yours Billy...
Old Man still swinging like a champ!! Most of the ole timers are stout they may be a little slower but still got that swing!! way to go !!! Love seeing this reminds me of me and my old man and my Gpa
BeeBRS. I Sat behind a desk for the best part of my life. I'm retired now and the wife and I spend our summers in the white mountains of Arizona to get away from the heat. The wife and I go into the Sitgreaves and cut wood. I love the physicality of cutting wood then going home and splitting by hand. Like your Dad I have a maul, sledge hammer and a Fiskers. I'm an old guy like your Dad and I swear cutting wood is keeping me young. Thanks for the video and thanks for loving your Dad.
Great to see you working with your dad, Billy my old dad is 85, and until last year he thought he was 25. Unstoppable. My mum died last March, he's now 85 again. I need to spend more time with him. Great watching the videos. Keep it up. Davie. 👍
When you said fastest manual log splitter I thought it was just going to be a picture of you for 20 minutes or so! Lol! Peace Buckin and the army! Welcome new subs! This channel and the message is amazing! Love and kindness!
I just found this channel. I love this stuff. I can't stop watching it. Buckin' Billy Ray is great. I love the way he talks. It's as if Dan Akroyd and Rowdy Roddy Piper had a love child.
Bet it's going to be hard to part with those axes after using them. Watching you and your dad working together sure brought back memories of my dad and I
I have never seen anyone get so excited about splitting wood by hand. Y'all are workin way too hard and havin way lotta fun doing it. Course that itty bitty soft wood aint much of a challenge to split. But I had a great time watchin Yall. Loads of fun
Dude you've had this thing for like 5 years now. That little log splitter you got has helped out so many people, wonderful investment. Stay blessed friend
I got the gx on a compressor. Starts first pull every time. No matter how long it sits. Just don’t rest your hand on the exhaust by accident. It’ll say hot backwards on your palm.
"This is a Honda" is all I needed to hear. I knew the thing was gonna start right up. I still drive my Grandmas old 2000 Civic. My Dad sold Hondas when I was a kid. Legendary engines
Totally enjoyed video the title was also right about that log splitter. Threw me off with the chant bandsaw but that reminds me of my wood splitting days what my dad while he was still alive. I was like yeah nice little flashback I appreciate it. And by the way did I say I like that log splitter!
O lord. I love your channel. The pure positivity and excitement in your voice. I love watching the vids because they cheer me up and give me a time to take my minds off of things. Thanks for the joy
Well Buckin you have given me great inspiration to get an axe and chainsaw and get out on my 40 archers and cut/split wood for health reasons. I have now become totally addicted!! Have purchased two vintage axe heads (one HB) and put very nice handles on them! Also hav e gotten pretty good a sharping! Well now when I start to get tired (59 years old) I will think of your Dad for inspiration!! Keep up the great work of motivating! I has got me out of the house and out in the woods!!!
It was really enjoyable to watch you and your dad tear into that wood pile. I REALLY liked that double/right angle split of TWO pieces by Buckin' Billy that came at about 26:15 in the video. Pro move ! Your advice regarding mental health and vigorous physical work is very wise. A person learns a lot by watching your videos and only some of it has to do with taking down trees.
NICE AXES!...THAT'S WHAT I WANTED TO SEE!!! THAT IS THE BEST LOG SPLITTER ON THE INTERNET!... IF NOT THE FASTEST ONE!.....LOVE THAT LOG SPLITTER BUCKIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely amazing! As always loved the video sir! I looked up different ways to sharpen an axe the other day and found your channel, and just couldn’t stop watching videos! They are Fun and happy packed, educational and inspirational videos I can’t get enough of! Keep up the great work and high spirits! Ya got a 19 year old country here sir and you’ll be hearing from me hopefully again soon! Sending positive affirmations and my best regards to all!! Keep your stick on the ice!
