@@GardeningismyPassion Sir I sowed bottle gourd seeds and 10 days later, some of the seeds got germinated but one day after germination the leaves started turning yellow and it seems as if the leaves are burnt. The remaining seeds which got germinated later they also shown the same signs of burning and yellowish leaves. What to do??
Wow that's great, will surely try this method. Would like to know why the stem splits when is grown and start to blossom . My two plants died with this problem . One was just about to give fruit and the other died after getting about 6 bottle gourds.
Very nice technique. If I use dried leaves instead if green leaves will it be o.k? Because we don't have any kind of green leaves here in this cold country yet!
What is the reason for wrapping in fig (or some other similar) leaves? What kind of seeds benefit from being wrapped in leaves? Could we just wrap in wet paper towel and put it in a ziplock bag?
I soaked seeds for a day and then put it on a wet paper in an air tight box (to keep inside moist). I got germination in 3-4 days. This is a standard method for every types of seeds. No need for fig leaves etc. Seeds need a warm and moist environment and they will sprout.
I fail to understand the method of soaking the seeds in 3 different containers, I saw you combining all seeds just before binding it in leaves. Can you clarify please?
For me the advantage for thus method is you will know which seed germinated and then use it in the small pots. I directly used 4 seeds in small pots but only 2 germinated in a 7-10 days of time.
Drear sir, thank u for this experiment. But I just need to know when any kind of seeds is sowed, in what position should u sow it. Is it from the pointed tip side?
