I think he is pointing at the card, or doing something to a pre chosen card that tricks the eyes into looking at a specific card. Then he takes it away before they can see why they looked at the card or choose another card!

With him fanning in the right hand the only visible card is the bottom one there for when he shuffles and he already knows what the card is so he can draw it from any part of the deck

Maybe it's the last card that is fully exposed at the end of the deck. It would be easy to see. Then cut the deck so it looks like your taking it from the middle.

Well for those accusing him of doing a reverse fan, they're right. Instead of making a normal fan (clockwise), he's going counterclockwise. If you can do that perfectly all the cards appear blank, or the edges of the cards appear missing. I havent done card tricks in a long time! You can see that he does the reverse fan though clearly in the early beginning. I'm just trying to figure out still though how he forces the card on them. I know he makes them choose pretty quickly too, so something there before they have time to figure it out.

This force is just so dumb and obvious it shouldn't work. It's like the bluff pass, because it just shouldn't work. I never would have thought to use a reverse fan as a force, but I have to try it now.

Rich was doing the famous blank fan (also known as the reversed fan) which means that there was only one visible index. That explains why the audience wasn't reacting as much as you'd expect with a trick like this.

A reversed fan, only the blank (white) edge of the cards is visible. So the only one they can choose is the bottom card.

The trick is quite obvious. Before he begins, he told the spectator to REMEMBER a card. Emphasizing this, by default, spectator feels he/she has ro remember the number and the flower. The performer sets this foundation upfront. 1. Everytime he does card fanning (and if you noticed) all the cards are so close to each other. Making it impossible to fully remember a card. If you can the number, you cannot see the flower. 2. And when he shows the cards to the spactator, he holds it near to their eyes for mere few seconds (a fast glance). He then asks spectator to remember a card. With that short time and no other cards the spectator could remember, the ONLY one card they can remember fully by number and flower.... is the card at the bottom of the deck. For the grand finale, he can easily pull out the last card. Look at the video at 2.09 and 2.10 (take note of the bottom card it's a 3 of club) when he shows all cards are different to the kids. Then without shuffling the card, he fans the deck and asks the girl to remember a card. Obviously 3 of club will be the one visible to the girl. Great performance. I will need to learn to do a better fanning like him :-)

He makes the fan holding cards in the right hand - audience sees white corners of all of them apart from the bottom one. If hey are amazed it’s only because they can’t figure out how he is able to show them all plaing cards are normal (while choosing they appeares blank)

I know how . I have done this before. You just fan the cards from the other side so that no one could see number on top left and bottom right on every card except the bottom card . Since you did it so first no one notice a thing but only remeber the bottom card. Then you just cut the deck put bottom part on top and made it look like you make the card appear from the middle Or To make the trick look more real you may have a card which was printed in the opposite direction so that only its no. Was visible when faned from reverse

My thoery is the symbol of the cards is on upper left and lower right. But the magician is spreading the cards in a wrong way for him to hide the symbols, and force the audience to pick the front card. He basically show the cards circular because it is the fastest way and the best angle to misdirect the audience. He also show it really fast and in front of the face for them to didnt notice the trick. Correct me if i'm wrong. Thanks

Its not very easy trick....He hold the fan in such a way that only one card is highlighted which desired ....Which is near the center...And that needs lot of practice....He is very good at it...Great style

Ok sooo he is doing a reversed fan so that only the bottom card is visible to the spectator. Then he is getting the bottom card. Proof is when he fans he get it close to the spectator so that others can't see it, or he isolates a person like he did at 6:05 . And he is not repeating the trick to the same person to not to get exposed. Also, when the number of persons are over he says 'i gotta go'. And if this is not it. IDK what the hell it is.

Its so simple....he got into his DeLorean, went into the future, had them all pick a card, of course he guessed wrong, but now he knew what they were thinking of, went back to the present and the rest is history....and that's how anyone can do the mind reading card trick.

I don't know exactly how it's done but I will tell you what I am thinking.: Maybe when you fan the cards you put your finger on the card that you wanna force.. Which makes the spectator most of the time think of it...... Actually I know a lot of ways to do this trick but I can't write everything I know because it will take a lot of time and writing And maybe you put the card that you wanna force(if you wanna force a red card) between 8 black cards which makes the spectator look at it draws attention

Top half of the deck is stacked with repeating cards (force). Then reveal the selected card in the mixed bottom half of the pile.

It's all in the fan........ reverse the fan so that the pips are hidden, except for the bottom card. The spectator will only see the pips of the bottom card. If the magician flashes the fan quickly, the spectator will only see the bottom card and won't recognize that all the other pips on the card are "hidden".

I THINK THERE IS A RED OR BLACK COLOURED CARD B/W THE OPPOSITE COLOUR CARDS WHICH ATTRACT THE EYES OF AUDIENCE AND THEY PICK IT.

I think I seen this trick before. What you do is you force the person to pick that card. What it means is that you show the cards very close to the audience's face and they will remember the card immediately.Just look at 1:10 and 1:46 and 4:01

It's the card at the bottom, it has the clearest picture and when spread leaves the biggest imprint on your memory
