@@chazrichoux8162 The base weight is around 4800 man. With not much to remove thats alot closer to 5k with the cage and twin turbo setup. 4200 would be a minimum at best.
Eh, I'm not taking anything away from anybody - but obviously there's history here going back to the GMC Syclones. This isn't a new idea, we're just getting trucks that are better and better fit for doing this kind of thing.
Let's save it for after AWDs/4WDs have utterly dominated the street and/or no-prep. I've been hearing forever about how it's "unbeatable" on the street, but that still just has yet to happen. I mean, GT-Rs are probably the only real example of dominance on the street, but that's less so about "AWD" and more so about Nissan's killer implementation of AWD in a supercar. It's certainly not like these F150s are leaving as hard as GT-Rs. Even then, GT-Rs aren't exactly 'common' in street races lol, so they're kinda moot anyway. Note how these F150s aren't even out-60 footing all of their competitors, plenty of RWDs are competitive with them at any point of an 1/8th mile. This was just their race. AWD/4WD just doesn't have the crazy advantage everyone thinks it has - once you're leaving hard enough that you're drooping out the front suspension, you're transferring so much weight to the rear that the front tires struggle to do much.
@@RyTrapp0 We just watched AWD moderately prepared street trucks take down a whole field of 2wd purposed built cars and trucks. Are you saying it's a coincidence? The fact that they have twice the allowed drive tire contact and factory engineered traction assist should put them in their own class.
@@RyTrapp0 Checkout Limpys Fn events and even on the Fn Pad inthe dirty south and you'll see F150s and even a v6 S10 sweep no prep events. Guess you don't remember Prime (RIP)?
The 6:30 race Midnight vs Luv Luv lights the candles the whole way, but you can see the 2nd kit hit and they get huge and bright orange on both sides Great race
WHAT THAT GUY IS RUNNING IN THAT BLACK 150 IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO DO SINCE 2000 OR SO. 4X4, SLICKS, TWIN TURBO, SHORT BED. THE ONLY THING AGAINST IT IS AERO DYNAMICS. BUT HEY, IT IS WHAT IT IS. HOW CAN YA GO WRONG 4X4 AND SLICKS SQUARED.
