I am impatient too…I recently started an online business, after a career in journalism, then airline. I am not where I want to be which is be financially independent. So how do I collapse time and become a millionaire fast? How do I get there? I appreciate your advice…but you don’t exactly or say demonstrate how. You’re about to blow up on here. Excited for you! I have a question. I’m an artist in a very niche style. I truly believe the custom pieces I make could be displayed in upscale hotels, resorts, restaurants, etc. I’m in Florida where there are a lot of those. How can I put myself out there to accept such big offerings like that? I’ve tried emailing and Facebook messaging and it hasn’t worked. Should I just show up with artwork in hand as an example? I’ve sold worldwide, been in boutiques, I know I can do it but I want to reach people in a different tax bracket than me, if you will. I’ve been the artist who undersold and overworked myself. I did 600 handmade pieces in two years and burnt myself out and got resentful. I think I’m maybe blocked and have convinced myself that people don’t want to pay high dollar but then I look around and see art being sold for $100,000k when it clearly has so much less effort put into it than I do. I’m rambling now but basically to sum it up - how can I aligned myself with high dollar people when I grew up poor as hell. I’ve never been around it. I’m talking like I’ve never even ate at a 5 star restaurant, been to a fancy spa, none of that. This is new territory for me and the imposter syndrome is real. Like I’m just a poor starving artist trying to convince people with money to spend it on my art.
