Learning cells
The molecular biology of our memory
How do we learn? And how do we remember? Is there something like a memory protein? Cell biologist Casper Hoogenraad wants to understand our learning processes on a molecular level. He studies the function of proteins inside neurons in the hippocampus. Here, he thinks, the secret of our memory may be found.

I'm a medical animator and really love your animations. I must point out that neurons only comprise of around 30% of cells in the brain. The vast majority of the brain is glial cells, which have been shown to be a key player in LTP and an important aspect of neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's, Alzheimers, ALS, and of course MS. I'm doing a visualization about that now and it's really inspiring to know that people around the globe are also doing such great work :)

Topic interesting, but the harsh German sound grates me too much to continue. Can't imagine how anyone would come up with language like that.
