This is a fun and easy fat quarter project. Come and learn to sew a mini tote bag!

Calling all beginners! Learn how to sew this mini tote bag out of a fat quarter with this easy sewing tutorial!! This is one of my 5 minute fat quarter projects!!!
Fat quarters are something that lots of us have in our material stash and they are a great size for sewing lots of fun fat quarter projects! This is a great fat quarter for beginners tutorial as well as being a fat quarters easy tutorial! Such a great way to learn some fat quarter projects!
My 5 minute fat quarter series will also teach you how to make some fat quarter gifts with some simple fat quarter ideas!
This diy tote bag with lining is really quick and easy to make and the lining can be made out of contrasting fabric. Thank you. I needed a small bag to hold my needles, thread, beeswax and thimble for my quilting. Had some left over fabric and made a lovely bag I plan to make another bag to hold the things I use to sew bindings on my quilts.

You definitely could! You would glow the same pattern but just make sure the material you use is water resistant. Some materials have a nice wax coating to make it water proof!! 😊 xx

These are roughly 18" x 22" 😊 this method will work on most sizes though! Xx

I just made my bag I made a few changes though like adding batting for stability and using larger pieces of fabric. Love the tutorial it was easy to follow and helped me get the hang of making better bags, thank you so much.

I've cut my fabric the wrong way so my bags are thinner and taller. For future ref you need to cut the fat quarter two shorter sides together. Hope that answers everyone's question.

Hi. Thank you for this! Really enjoyed making it but it definitely took me longer than 5 minutes!! I had to unpick the whole lot as I'd sewn the liner on the wrong way. However, it's now finished and almost looks like yours.

Just finished mine - it turned out cute. It's pretty small, but still adorable. Somehow my lining ended up inside out but it doesn't really matter. I'm a beginner so just happy to have completed a project. Thanks for the quick and easy tutorial.

You need to explain yourself much better ! For one bag with coordinating lining, it takes a half of a fat quarter for each material!!! and when sewing together the right sides of material need to face one another!! Very cute pattern just lead me astray with your explanation!!

This was pure madness to make. One of the straps was on the outside of the bag while the other was on the inside of the bag. Had to cut the long sides off . I don't know how I turned a simple project into a mountain of crap. Ugh!!! Ok, I watched it again and I didn't bring the two short pieces to the middle. That was the problem. I will try it again, but not today.
