Your videos are always fun and entertaining & I learn something. I like the dark orange border, brights are my thing. It's funny you have a Little Rebel becuase you are!!! LOL!
Hi April! I just unboxed my Little Rebel so this was really helpful! I agree with some others. A thin white border, then the peach border! Have a great day!
I like the white and the peach a narrow white with a wider peach would be lovely. I like the “April option” it’s a pity it’s not in the actual pattern.
I like the white and the peach or the green. I would do an all border with the white and a thicker border with either the green or peach. Awesome as always. Joyce
Thin white sashing, then the peach border would look great! Love your new machine, April! I ordered one, too. Should be here any day. I am so excited‼️‼️
I just love watching and hearing your accent 😁 I wonder what you will choose for the border. I like some people's suggestions of a thin white and then a soft peach/apricot or orange. The machine looks great but I couldn't handle that threading! I've never seen one so complicated and lot of holes rather than hooks for threading easily. It would drive me nuts. Luckily, I could never afford one 🤣🤣 Hope you enjoy yours, April 🥰
A thin white border and then a pink, green, or peach! You could put white all the way around and then put one color on the top and bottom, then a second color on the sides! Just use April’s Option! It will look great no matter how you do it! I like your new machine!
I live seven minutes from Villa Rosa’s brick and mortar store here in NorCal’s gold country. It’s fab! I dropped a lot of money there during the pandemic, fortunately, considering how inflation has affected the current price of premium fabrics. My favorite things to buy there are fat quarters that they cut themselves, and also quilt kits using their own quilt designs.
Really a cute, colorful quilt. Love it! I would put a narrow white border, then add a colored border. I liked the bold orange color against the white border strip. More work, but the white would make the pieced top so it would middle really pop!
White thin border to give the patchwork focus and light peach larger outer. I did one in these colors and did a white thin and aqua outer and it really popped the quilt design so nicely! Oh - and dark orange binding. ; )
Amymiller258 I would love for you and your friends to join me --- you should check it out ... see the link www.craftours.com/tour/9-day-exploring-the-highlights-of-ireland-with-april-story/
I prefer the April option. And if I didn't lick the end of thread the needle would never get threaded. I always say each one has my blood, sweat, and tears in it. 😂❤
I like the peach for your binding. My granddaughter (quilting partner at age 6) says we need to make that quilt in Halloween fabric so guess what’s the next project.
do you have any of that teal/lt blue fabric for the border? I agree, I like watching your videos because you love quilting and have fun with it. My quilts are far from perfect and I don't care. I enjoyed making them, they are made with joy and love and passion and I see that in your videos. So keep going strong April!
Who are these quilt police? They aren't worth worrying about. Life is too short for such meaningless worries. Keep up the great videos and your own style - it's great. Enjoy quilting and making beautiful things. By the way, my personal preference is white inner border and the peach outer border, but whatever you choose will look great anyway. Hugs xx
I also love Villa Rosa patterns and that quilt turned out so cute. I would use the white for the border and that peachy one for the binding, what do you have for the backing? Cute from Hobby Lobby also, Happy Quilting and glad you are enjoying The Rebel!
I have awful luck with Hobby Lobby fabric/precuts fading after the first wash. I tend to make baby quilts and quilts for donation, so the colors need to stand up to normal/frequent laundering. I’ve started using “designer” fabric in my piecing and “store brand” fabric for the backing to keep the front pretty but still save money.
