As long Mai and Mary and Jennet are there, it is on for sure. Though I don't mind someone related to Krauser as the midboss or something.

If Andy Bogard be in this game, I just hope he finally has a different final special move, same for Ryo.

Outside of those mentioned I'd also like to see Raiden/Big Bear, Cheng Sinzan and one of the capoeiristas (Richard Meyer or Bob Wilson). With Krauser canonically dead we could see a descendant of his taking up his mantle. It'd also be cool to see Jan, King's brother, and maybe a Robert/Yuri descendant.

Yamazaki is cool. Wouldn't mind seeing him.

I wouldn't mind a new family member from Krauser as a new character.

Here's my wishlist, 13 of them. - Tsugumi Sendo (and her VAs, Akira Sekine and Megan Tayler Young) - Li Xiangfei (retained her original VA and for the English dub, Laura Bailey) - Ryuji Yamazaki (current JP VA from previous KOF games since XIV and for the English dub, Todd Haberkorn) - A new male fighter from the scrapped cancelled Garou 2 - A new female fighter from the scrapped cancelled Garou 2 and make it as a reimagined version of the main antagonist from the Chinese movie, Boonie Bears: Back to Earth. - Blue Mary Ryan (Obviously, same VA from KOF XIV/XV and for the English dub, Kira Buckland) - Cheng Sinzan (his VA should be from the Naruto series both JP and US something similar to Akimichi Chouji) - Kevin Ryan - Grant - Lao (from Fatal Fury First Contact, origin as a cameo in the RB2 intro) - Laurence Blood - Wolfgang Krauser - Ryo Sakazaki

Jin Chonrei is one of the coolest SNK characters ever, he definitely should come back or be DLC.

Personally, I'd like to see returning from: FF1: Raiden, Hwa Jai & Duck King FF2: Mai FF3: Bob, Blue Mary, Hon-Fu, Yamazaki and Jin Chonrei RB: Alfred & Rick Garou: Well, everyone except Freeman. Now, in my opinion, these characters are redundant to return: 1. Geese & Krauser. Let them rest in honor of our previous struggles with these dudes. If you want, release them later as Classic Boss Challenges, similar to KoF XV's DLCs. As Nightmare unplayable versions, preferably, to keep things canonical. 2. Kim. I do agree with Nabil about Kim's sons being a fine replacement for Kim in current timeline of Fatal Fury. Kim is fine, alive and very well kicking in KoF. Just give him a proper team again next tournament. For same reason, don't ever introduce his sons in KoF. 3. Freeman. We just don't need this watered down Iori-clone. 4. Richard Meyer. He's fine but Bob is better, and in that case, I'd like to see a brand new character taking his tentative slot on selection screen. 5. I like Jubei in FF2 and always love his cameos in KoF, but considering the time of new game, if he's alive now he's too old for putting any capable fight. Tung is already in the retirement, why Jubei should still throw a cracker? BUT! I'd like to see a new character in the game being a Judoka and a disciple of him. 6. Cheng. Just no. Enough clowns. 7. Michael Max & Axel Hawk. These two are too generic, an examples of early SNK placeholder characters. Axel is bit better, of course, but still not a character to stick with. And his age in new game seems to be a unfitting for any serious fight. 8. Jin Chonshu. Chonrei is preferable, and two of them in a new game are superfluous. If SNK would do a style select for each character in the game (similar to Samsho 3/4 and EX versions of Real Bout), just made Chonshu this way. Otherwise, leave him at background. 9. Toji. See Cheng and Jubei. 10. Lao. See Max & Hawk. This results in a roster of 27 returning characters (I think), with Preecha being 28th, and 4 more brand new characters would make a great number of 32. I guess SNK won't release such big roster for non-KoF game, so I think Hwa Jai, Hon-Fu, Yamazaki, Rick and someone from Garou (Grant?) would be designated for DLCs. This will make my dream roster of new Garou.

As long as I get Mai and Jenet, I'm happy! Also Rick! It's been too long, we need him back!

I dont have hopes about the Jin brothers but i would like to see both of them in the future timeline, older and with a brand new moveset. Ideally with the same moveset design logic of the Kim brothers, who are different enough from each other to be called clones, which is the ideal character design approach with these duos or trios who share a figthing style.

Cool list! I just don’t wanna see any KOF originals here like Kyo or Iori. Let this one be a celebration of the FF franchise. Ryo should be the only cameo due to his history with the franchise and AOF being in the same timeline. But after seeing Hibiki from Last Blade come to Samsho (two unrelated universes), I’m scared SNK might be tempted :( haha. Btw: read the comments. Half the people are already asking for Kyo, Iori, Beninmaru, etc. Some people cannot differentiate Fatal Fury from KOF. And they want the same characters. And I’m afraid SNK might please them with a Kyo or Iori to grab extra sales.

One guy in the comments gave the idea of using Geese in the game but as the Nightmare version, which then wont blatantly contradict the story (or ruin it with a magical reviving device). It's so simple but i never thought of that and i find that a good solution to the dilemma of a popular char who would be nice to see again but he/she died and it's also important to respect the story. Secondly, what surprised me is that the same guy suggested to use of Nightmare Krauser as an excuse to use him in the game. I was mindblown by that part of his comment... it's so simple and it's a perfectly effective solution but i dont know why i never came up with that idea.

My dream roster would be Terry, Andy, Joe, Mai, Rock, Blue Mary, Hokutomaru, Preecha, Kim, Dong Hwan, Jae Hoon, Hotaru, Yamazaki, Rick, Marco, Freeman, Gato, Mr. Karate, Billy, Krauser, Grant, Kain, and finally.... Alba Meira as secret character.

Mai would fit perfectly here! I was also thinking about Ángel being in the game but then at the same time no. She's my number one favorite KOF girl but I don't think she'll fit here. Who knows? I could be wrong

Hwa Jai needs to be in this game. If not at release I’d cough up some dough to see him added as part of a season pass. On the sauce, glazed eyes, tongue out throwing knees & elbows talking mad shit. Hwa Jai wasn’t always one of my favorites but he’s definitely grown on me the more time I put into KOF XIII. Can’t wait to play w/ Kushnood Butt again as well. 👺🤘🏼

In my mind, the original roster of the MoTW should be in the game (with the possible exception of Freeman, who could be (or not) dead, in which case, a new character inspired on him can be created). From there, and considering Andy, Joe & Billy would be in, I would wish for: Bob Wilson: certainly, a capoera fighter would be nice, and I would like to see how his gameplay would be developed for a 3D engine. Duck King: a Classic from the saga, and same that Bob, it could be wonderful seeing him developed in a 3D engine. Gato and Futaba's father: he is a must, after 25 years without answers about him, what happened between him and Gato, and why helps Kain. Rick Strow: surely, he deserves a comeback, and since there is no other boxer, everything it's said. Certainly, there a lot of Real Bout fighters that could be brought back as DLC. In that sense, almost everyone can be brought: Geese (obviously), Yamazaki, Hon-Fu, Mai, Blue Mary, Tung (though he probably might be dead by now of old age)... However, I would wish for the roster planned for the original MoTW 2, thought I would say that's a really difficult wish to obtain.

I imagine that all previous characters that were in Mark of the Wolves are going to appear in the base roster for City of the Wolves, and B.Jenet and Gato are in KoF XV so SNK already have their models, they just have to changed them a little. While I hope the Fatal Fury series can go on in the future, people at SNK said this is going the be the final game in the series, so it would be great if they added as much characters from previous games, especially since I don't think many of them will appear in future King of Fighters games, but here there are some that I think they could add as playable characters: - Fatal Fury: Duck King and Raiden/Big Bear; - Fatal Fury 2: Mai Shiranui; - Fatal Fury 3: "Blue" Mary Ryan, Ryuji Yamazaki, Bob Wilson, Sokaku Mochizuki; - Real Bout 2: Rick Strowd, Li Xiangfei, Alfred; - Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition: Tsugumi Sendo. Incidentally, while I don't think characters from other SNK games should appear, I think those from games that are in the same timeline as Fatal Fury can be nice additions, I'm thinking of Ryo Sakazaki as Mr. Karate II, older versions of Yuri Sakazaki and Kasumi Todoh and perhaps Gai Tendo from Buriki One. I also hope that just as SNK included Preecha as a reference to the scrapped character of Kuan Konta, that they include those characters that were planned to appear in the canceled Garou 2, like Jess Young, Gaki Kibao and Dolvic Bourne. And I think SNK could add Geese and Krauser as bonus bosses, I know both of them are supposed to be dead, but they could be "Nightmare" versions, like how Geese appeared in Real Bout Special

My list starts and ends with Rick Strowd. Dude's too awesome to have only been in one game. There are other characters I wanna see make it, of course, but Tizoc (who already made it) and Strowd are my top two.

i agree with the majority of the comments on the direction of cotw, but this is about moving the franchise forward not stagnating it with too many returning fighters from 2, 3, and real bout; and relying too heavily on guests from other fighting games from snk. tsugumi sendo, alfred, hwa jai and lily kane would be great inclusions in city of the wolves. i know some other fighters have been confirmed, but we still need to see their trailers. it would have been good to see this as a sega exclusive were they still in the hardware market around the ps3, wii and 360 era, considering garou mark of the wolves was a dreamcast exclusive.

Rick Strowd would be awesome considering I am probably the only person who wants Cheng Sinzan back.

Since Tung Fu Rue is a Fatal Fury original, it would make sense for his Grand Son Shunei to be part of COTW. Same goes with Richard Meyer but instead of Richard Meyer, bring in Bob Wilson. Since prodigy characters are gonna be in COTW it would make sense for Shunei and Bob Wison to make it in since the Original main big 3's prodigy characters are all in COTW: Rock, Hokutomaru and Preecha. Also I personally would like to see Raiden, Hwa Jai, Michael Max and Xiangfei. But also i would like to see new original characters and what fighting style snk can introduce that hasn't appeared in Fatal Fury yet. Like i would like to see a Judo/Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter who can act as a grappler character since Fatal Fury or maybe perhaps a MMA fighter. Something new that the Franchise hasn't seen yet. Or maybe like some of those scrapped characters on the Garou 2 sprites like the mafia looking guy or the Boxer boy with the fedora hat.

I hope kim learned some new moves if he is in this game.
