@@abrahamlupis9354 The first season pass for COTW is completely free though, it's mainly a problem when companies like Capcom have unfinished characters that they can't put out for launch but proceed to sell them for DLC anyways.

Looking really cool! Smart input mode and a RPG mode. Even casual, like me have absolutely no excuse anymore. (Though I like KoF 2002 UM and KoF XIII) Edit: I even missed he mentioned AI genetated clones to fight against. Maybe something like VF and Tekken did with quest mode and super ghost battles. Really cool if you dont want to fight other players or Internet is not helping.

There’s 2 things I want from SNK now. 1) a Fatal Fury collection for all platforms to really stoke the fire. And 2) a Switch 2 port of City of the Wolves.
Speaking of 2 things. How about the 2 Lane Stage System from the original Fatal Fury? They say in this trailer at 1:10 that "the classic series mechanics are BACK IN FULL FORCE" so 2 Lane System confirmed?
@@elgatofelix8917No. 100% they're referring to MOTW mechanics, which are all back in COTW. It's ironic, but as far as game feel goes, MOTW (and by extension, COTW) is barely a Fatal Fury game. Which is probably why it's the most loved (?) entry. That line switch gimmick needs to stay in the past and never return.
I'm so happy to see SNK is still more alive than ever, and even though I don't have much time nowadays to play and get good as I used to, I'll definitely be getting this to support this wonderful franchise that gave me so many good memories.
Now THAT'S art style. I miss the way SNK used to animate their fighters as 2D sprites (so much character to them), but this is the closest they get to that without having to cost them an arm and a leg. The cel shading in this looks phenomenal. Definitely harkens back to the old days, but with modern techniques. Might just have to buy this one.
the models and animations look extremely outdated, be honest. this is a step up from all their current 3D era games, but with character designs like vox and preecha they aren't anywhere near any of the big fighting games at the moment.
Man... I can't wait for Andy's reveal. It can't be possible for SNK to not do something new with him, right? Hopeful for something fresh and sick for him 🙏🏼🙌🏼
@@CT-gh2vm They are nowhere near the characters that Andy and Joe are.. They are the Genesis of Fatal Fury. Not having them, on the return of the franchise after 25+ years is a travesty. Freeman? Kim's sons? C'mon..
Damn that main theme(?) is so good every time I hear it on these trailers. I really like the direction SNK is going in with this and hope they are positively reinforced with good sales. That color editor made my head explode when I saw it.

might be worth trying samurai shodown while you wait several months for it to come out. the online still works and its visually gorgeous and fun to play
It really almost made me cry from nostalgia for that introduction, thank you SNK for a new Fatal Fury saga and its content like the jukebox, the color edit and the characters (I hope Krauser returns) that are coming, I'm very excited, I have to pre-order it now!
I was already buying this day 1 but the single player RPG mode and color editor got me sold all over again. And special edition plus season pass for $60??? That’s a steal if I ever saw one. Definitely my most anticipated fighting game release of 2025
Oh shit, this is a full ass modern fighting game. With ALL the bells and whistles. SNK has an ok track record with regional pricing, so I'm looking forward to this one on release.
Giving us all of this for 60 bucks feels crazy. SNK keeps getting better and better as time goes on. Props to them for giving us color edit and keeping in a jukebox mode.
The colour editing along with the RPG system is phenomenal. I hope the single player experience along with the multiplayer matchmaking experience is wonderful.

Colour edit is amazing, love that SNK gave us that. Praying for those 17 base roster picks Blue Mary, Yamazaki, and at least one Kaphwan kid makes it in. I do hope the need for an internet connection for every game mode gets changed though.

$60 for the base game _and_ the first season of DLC characters? I know I shouldn't be this excited, but that pricing is pretty generous in an industry where the base price keeps going up (and fighting games themselves tend to be one of the most expensive games if you want "everything").

"A city of wild ambition" oho I got the reference, now we have a date and some more information, 17 characters in the base game plus 5 by DLC, totaling 22 initially I wondered who will be in the game besides the obvious ones like the other MoTW characters, by the way the RPG mode and the customization caught my attention, I'm going to pre-order now
@@SlowLearner-z3h I thought so too, at least just a little, I think the problem was the duration, the mechanics were only shown without much explanation and the other information was passed on very quickly, maybe there is a video just for that?
