The appearance of Ryo in Fatal Fury Special as a secret final boss was perhaps inspiration to SNK's most notable fighting game series, The King of Fighters.
Seeing the bosses in action is always a treat. Specially when they were not supposed to be accessible. This version of Ryo is insane. The CPU offers no response or defense to his special attacks. Fatal Fury Special really benefited from the AST. Good old days.
@@thiagofoliveira Because like Ryo in FFS, the CPU was not programmed to be able to attack him, since few people ever really played as him, and I don't think he was playable in 1 player mode in the arcade original, so SNK forgot to program the CPU to be able to handle him (you'll notice every port of the game, it's the same thing, the CPU has no answer for him). For Saisyu, he didn't truly debut until KoF 95 in arcades, SNK again didn't compensate for programming the CPU against him when a human used him in Rebout.
Such a great game! Honestly, I prefer the original music. The AI rarely blocks Ryo Sakazaki's attacks, especially projectiles, he's the easiest character to play trough the game. Obvioursly, the AI was not programmed to put resistance against him. Nice playtrough, tough!
