I loved playing this game on my PS1 back in the day. I used Joe, Mr. Karate, and taught myself how to use Geese Howard after the computer hit me with the Deadly Rave. Ever since then he became my fave.

The Hyper Neo Geo 64 version plays better, but has less characters.

They really phoned in that end credits sequence compared to Real Bout Special with all the goofy gag scenes.

You know what, I hope COTW takes some inspiration from Wild Ambition's crazy takes on moves for characters and adapts them for that game. This game had a lot of unique moves that never saw the light of day ever again, so I think its only fair that the entire FF series is represented in COTW, including this entry. Plus it gives devs a way to make characters we already have seen for years now unique from their KOF counterparts.

i'm really hoping there's a wunderkind out there who can manage to get HNG64 emulation up and running in a really nice state, i know all of three games came out for it but having them be more accessible would be awesome

I probably spent $800 in quarters on this game & mastered Geese in his black suit (special code). The arcade owner at the time definitely didn't set that machine to "easy" hahahaha. I was unbeatable. Still want to own this hardware or hopeful it gets emulated well. You're lucky to own the OG version of this. My fav fighting game ever.
