Soldiers from an old war live amongst local villagers. Fate brings together a crash-landed US fighter pilot, three North Korean soldiers, and two South Korean soldiers. #themovierecap #moresubscribers #moreviewers
I remember this movie . I saw it years ago .The villagers had no idea what north or South Korea was. They thought the Japanese were attacking again when they didn’t even know their own country has been split in two and are fighting each other .
what does this teaches? that soldiers at war are human beings who simply follow orders war mongers and are also victims of war. but it is also about small people being treated as animals by those who are more powerful. when the foreign soldiers came to the village they treated the villagers even the elders and women like s#@t on their very own soil. i feel sad about how this is the reality in the real world we live in.
All war is one public social hierarchy vs another. The private individual within society is not allowed to legally murder their fellow man, but the public sector, the social hierarchy that rules your own society, called a State, a Country, a Nation, a Commune, Community or Society... doesn't matter what you call it, they're all relatively the same thing. That community, that Social Hierarchy plays by completely different rules, and can legally kill. Either through creating scenarios of us vs them, they can control the masses to kill on their behalf. Civil Wars are just when two Social Hierarchies rise within a single community and clash. All wars are is one Social Group murdering another Social Group, on behalf of some fallacy created by those who rule/lead that social group. Germans vs Jews (Nazism), Workers vs their Bosses (Communism), Men vs Women (Feminism). One nation vs another nation (nationalism). List goes on and on and on. From Religions to something often as petty as who gets to sit in the highest chair in the country.
but majority of the forces on the korean was UN peacekeepers (Whose selection is based on Character and career proffesionalism) with overall forces mainly composed by american veterans of the second world war with contigents from the Anglo-sphere and SEA.
@@blueberrymuffin2860 most of them are not, just like most westerners don't agree with american and its allies torture on julian assange. Wait do you even know who julian assange is?😂
Dude youre so underrated maaan...this channel should have at least 1 milllion subscribers...your contents are dope..Keep up your good work...now im in marathon of watching movie recaps previously watched and unwatched..thanks fella..
5:30 Although highly unlikely “grenade popcorn”, it would be awesome! You got to give whoever thought of that some credit! Either way, something like grenade popcorn happening in a village like this. The villagers would undoubtedly be impressed or at least entertained! Until they realized you blew up their corn! “Grenade Popcorn: An Explosive Taste, Quack Bang Pop!”
This ending is not sad, it is proper to say the least. Nobody wants to die but almost everyone feels the need to protect. This movie was about how no matter how evil you are taught to be, nature aka love will always prevail at any cost. That is the rule for truly honorable people no matter their origins or back grounds and any other ridiculous labels we the people place upon our fellow creatures of creation.
Which is worse war or hell, plenty would say hell but you see, there's no innocent man in hell, war,I believe is really experienced by the innocent, the helpless who know not how or why it's happening.......
If it’s a South Korea movie I can say that during the Korean War. It was actually the North Korean soldiers who actually beat the South Korean army. Infact the South Korean army was actually unmotivated and uh unprepared. It was actually the UN Combined army (Americans, British and etc…) are the ones who fought more than the South Korean army.
The South Koreans were already devastated by dozens of battles before the official Korean war. No idea where you got the idea that they were unmotivated, but South Korea was exhausted by the time the offical war began. Then China came to the Norths rescue and repelled the UN forces.
To save 1person the Americans bomb a village. Yes it was the time of war. This I understand, but it doesn't feel right. Those soldiers earned their humanity and the villagers helped them reach this. One of the saddest movie recaps, thank you for choosing this movie. Recap well done as usual.
14:22 I’m not crying, your crying! Korean movies & shows are always amazing! But often irritates my allergies, causing eyes to water. Even though I don’t have allergies! Weird isn’t it!?!
how long have this village have been isolate from the war ?Do the Korea is knowledge village exist now thank to american pliot and which part does the village part in north or south ?
Maybe if the movie was remade or if movie producers are to do a war movie with a similar premise but takes place at a different war or period (ie world war 1 or 2, American civil war, Vietnam war), the movies may have a different outcome with a more happier ending in which no one from the main characters from the opposing sides dies
Well I would say young and old people choose to fight or not but the one in charge makes the decision since there are those in their 40s fighting on the frontline
During WWI, British and German soldiers were wondering why fellow anglo saxons were fighting each other. Many soldiers thought the exact same thing during the Korean war and even now. Why are fellow blood brothers fighting each other in a pointless war brought on by foreign ideologies?
And don't forget the American civil war... Union and confederate soldiers are probably wondering why they are fighting fellow Americans.. probably the same in other civil wars
Westerner should realize a trend here, alot of SK movies is them going back to a times before the Age of Capitalism and an era where SK and NK was Korea, in an Era before the Korean Wars, which is very much about American going on a injustice Crusades than fore the sake of Korea.
Ah yes, of course, The UN decides to simply bomb a place, it really is to bad there isn't a unit that was specifically trained for reconnaissance and rescue, that often operated with their Korean counterparts as well, that would kind of make this story a little ridiculous.
Lets talk about the one thing the US doesn't want to talk about. The Korean war and how underhanded the tactics where, how they almost lost the war and how a lot of WW2 Veteran pilots lost their lives to a bunch of Migs. The Korean war was an International shietshow and if you list down all the warcrimes that happened during this campaign, you'd be surprised that a small theatre could rack up that much. But nobody could beat Vietnam both metaphorically and literally!
