my biggest pet peeve in FGO is how ROMA ALWAYS kills the target with his massive crits first when i try to stack the roman debuffs with a BBNP chain lmao (in most content)
I know the tier lists already take up a lot of time, but it could be an interesting idea when you both are reviewing the servants, to ask yourselves “how could we buff this servant to make them better.” Just an idea, I always like hearing other peoples ideas as to how Lasengle could buff a servant in a fun or unique way.
@thechargerout i feel like buffing his other skills or NP is better, his 3rd is already cracked and on other buster units it would be downright broken. The ability to change his card type is also obvious and most likely will never happen.
I definitely wanna see some Shishou buffs down the line, but the new change to brave chains really help her nicely. Her weird hit counts really benefit from them
I would love it if she got another NP battery of some sort, since of all the 5* ST lancers who received an NP battery at some point, she got the short end of the stick cuz she only got a 20% NP battery as opposed to the 30% the others all got. (& Enkidu getting 50% battery like wtf he was already considered the best ST lancer before that!) She already had the worst NP gain among the lancers, the least they could have done was not give her the weakest NP battery. If they, say, added an additional 30% NP battery to one of her other skills, I think that could help her out nicely. If not that, another nice buff would be to lengthen the duration of her buffs, particularly her Quick buff and/or anti-divine/undead attack. If we want to get really creative, I think an interesting buff would be something not unlike Musashi where Scathach can double her number of hits for her Quick cards or something, which could definitely fix one of her biggest issues of having such weird hit counts. Those are my ideas of potentially good buffs for her. She's my favorite character in the game, so I hope that she gets something like what I mentioned above and she gets the love that I believe she truly deserves.
2:52:29 Extra attacks count as "normal" attacks, and since Caenis's S2 procs before damage, the boosted Extra from an NPBB chain will still get the full 60% attack buff
Here's a fun thing about Liangyu. The heal ticks on each critical hit in the attack, so if an enemy has three hit attack, it will heal her and the party for 6k base. It will still use only one tick of the heal. Edit: I've just been proven wrong. The multiple instances of healing come froms stacking the NP's effects. What a disgrace. I'm sorry for the misinformation.

While he has Def and Evade in which she doesn't have that.... but she can remove the massive buffs from enemies... she can resist debuffs, she can heal the entire party every tick of crit, she can debuff enemy defense, Her atk buff for using her NP is 30% at np 1 and 50% at np 5 without the need of low health... She has a 20% arts and Quick damage buff, she has a 30% crit damage buff, she has 600% star absorbtion and a 15 star drop for 5 turns... Her Hp and Atack is naturally higher, ... considering the fact that np loop doesn't have a cool down you have unlimited source of debuffing and healing especially with a Jeanne Ruler or Caster Altria makes it easy to survive long endurance fights........ in every way she is better Except No personal defense type ability Her np doesn't do damage but support...and her np per hit is slightly lower.... but i do understand consistency is a thing... doesn't mean she isn't as useful as Cu in any type of way based on her overall skills and abilities... ... she can probably be same tier as cu easily .... WHY? .... I think the part people are OVERLY focused on is the heal...... But they forget her NP removes EVERY buff the enemy has with just one single attack and debuff's Defense and crit's of that enemy...givin the fact that np can be looped far faster than cooldowns for her this is amazing and is not getting the credit it deserves.... but including the situations in favor and the enemies are just crit machines she will greatly outclass Cu imo and keep the entire party alive... not to mention her overall damage is signifcantly higher(minus the damaging NP Cu has)... but that's just me... please give her another look and time
Quirinus's greatest strength is their flexibility. You can either start with a Throne of Quirinus cast to apply Roman Trait to all enemies, a facecard critical (helps even more with Da Vinci CC) boosted by Nine Lives Roma, or NP first, to take advantage of the ATK Up rizz post-NP, and the damage engine will start ramping up either way. Be it NPBB or BNPB, so many situations and they are really good at it in dealing heavy damage regardless of which order.
If/when Cú gets a buff to his disengage, I feel they should make it similar to EMIYA’s buff: you have the option of switching between single target and an aoe NP since that’s how Gáe Bolg works in lore, can be used as a spear for stabbing or as a thrown javelin.
Cu turns from one of the best solo servants to THE best solo servant lol. If this does come to pass, though, I would prefer his AOE NP to look like how it does in Extra with the thousands of thorns and such

Unless they start nerfing her (which they never will) she will always be EX+ and that's fine. She is just so above everyone else in her class that you can't not place her there. I guess you COULD buff everyone under her and then maybe you just place them all in EX. But that is a hard ask, buffing the best lancers in the game just so they can stack up to the most broken lancer in the game.
The 100% NP battery, NP trifecta (all high numbers to boot), and Buster Up pre-NP that lasts for 3 turns (starts at 20% and scales up to 60% with Overcharge), is essentially what pushed her to EX+ tier, especially in farming and even challenge quests.

@@Infernape0505 this is what Gilgamesh does have right now actually. Many people overlooked this and him being put in A++ tier was the proof of underselling by the people. But he can have access to a total of 50% NP Strength Up on demand without waiting to stack per turn a la Tametomo or Space Ishtar. Combine that with Oberon (since he farms with Double KoL and Oberon anyways) and his NP damage buffs, Gilgamesh's numbers will be astronomical. I can see why it's Buster Up instead tho for Melusine tho, Space Ishtar kinda already fills that niche of stacking 3-turn NP Strength Up and she can Buster farm too.

The difference is pretty huge between Gilgamesh 50% np up and melusine having 110% up, still Gilgamesh is underrated 👍

The Lancer class is definitely a fun one. Lot of good characters. Definitely fair having Melusine right up there. That's one crazy kit. Of course I'm glad they did something like that. Having a character that can go from single target to AOE is a fun thing and should make her fun to use when I can take a crack at summoning her. The EX group is definitely capable too. I know Lancer Melt has done me so much good work since I got her. Of course didn't hurt that I chased down NP5 for her.
Also, wanted to say, she might be the hardest 3 star to get, atleast for me. I rolled on the babylonia banner on JP and i didn't get a single copy of her. But i got several gold lancer spooks. I got most of the 4 star Lancers in that banner except for summer melt, Medusa lily and li shuwen
@@lookingforlove839 She is definitely hard to get in NA. But i have seen people casually get 3 copies from a multi from the class banner (look at Jeison class banner video) . Overall I am looking forward to her buff. All she needs is a NP buff that has an extra effect that could reduce her CD of skill 1 by 2-3
@@taigafgo it's still pretty strange. I spent around 15 tickets and 150 sq on the banner just for her and not even one copy. It might have been the first time where i dread seeing a lancer card turn gold. So many lancer spooks, i genuinely started questioning whether i was rolling in the wrong banner
Banana oni placement hurts. Also while it’ll definitely be incredibly taxing on you it would be cool to see a video talking about what buff you would give to every servant, or at least the ones that need something.
Agreed, I use Ibaraki Lancer a lot and find her quite effective. Her debuff clear nullifies her demerits, and I’ve done so many mondo crit turns with her
As much as I love using erice I gotta agree that C+ is where she belongs, she would definitely be higher if her np didn't have the insta kill or if it activated after the damage, still she's really fun to use
I hope that it is possible that the devs can buff all the characters with instant death in their NPs to trigger after damage. It would make so many characters limited by that instant death mechanic to be potentially much better. I think Erice defitnitely could be a lot higher tiered if they did that, and other characters like Summer Scathach, who I love using often even though she has been considered to be pretty bad gameplay-wise since she came out, could also really benefit from this.
Every time I see a lancer tier list I feel sad because of my man Diarmuid 😔 I'm glad he got a good buff last year but I hope he gets more + an animation update in the future 🙏 even if he's not good I still love and use him, one day he'll be lvl 120 (currently lvl 102 because I'm on the grail struggle bus)
I really wished that he got antifemale niche instead of crit damage up. A small power mod against females means with his np upgrade, mana burst and power mod, we would have seen some impressive damage numbers and it would have also given him a niche. Plus, the powermod means it would also improve his card damage against females
I think Erice is unironically pretty good for CQs (decent hard defense that stacks with Castoria, strong anti-Servant damage, ignore Evasion on short CD and defensive buff removal), so I'd argue that she could very well be a B tier. Maybe even higher if not for the atrocity of putting her buff removal after damage, hope Lasengle'll fix it at some point.
Karna be evading buffs like his life depends on it. If it were up to me, I’d buff his third skill. %30 battery (from 25) %50 crit damage (from 40) %50 star gen And 3 stacks 3 turns of %50 defense, except when he uses his NP, the defense stacks are consumed boosting his damage depending on how many get consumed. If you know his lore that fits perfectly, as well as making him able to 3 turn farm
Jaguar Warrior has a pretty crazy NP gain that you didn't mention, she either has the highest or one of the highest of all Lancers and I was genuinely surprised by how fast it can get up when using her in the tower event.
@@MystFGO yeah, its 1.05%. looking more into it, Elizabeth has a slightly higher np gain with 1.1% but still rather high all things considering when most servants are in the .7% or lower range. I don't think it makes her that much better tbh, but it is something to consider.
@@Evil_Florida Actually both of the Cu's have higher NP gain than Jaguar. Welp she may seem weak but with a good team she pretty much can do anything an ordinary ST ssr lancer can do. She has that much offense built in her kit

I recently discovered how awesome the grand lancer is when I used him in the CQ for the phantom thief event. Romulus=Quirinus almost beat the event with only 6/6/6 skills, so I used command spells because it took like 20 turns, but they are a fun lancer as long as the enemy can be debuffed and doesn't remove my buffs. The crits are awesome even without any help.
Also I just learned what the fabled Superscope is. Just a mlb kaleidoscope. The CE I have 2 mlb and a spare non mlb from my whaling days that I already use to buster and quick farm with. I spent too much time wondering what the superscope would look like.
Like I said in the twitch chat, unfortunately Don Quixote kit is heavily tied to his Lore,so it makes sense for him being that low. Overall tho is one of the best Lore kits in the game and I hope he gets another banner because he is an amazing character (Traum is Hella underated) and being a story locked sucks for np levels.
One interesting thing is that Lancer Artoria has enough NP gauge to buster loop from 0 start charge (need 130%, she gives 160% over the 3 turns when cd reduction is considered), but can't actually do it because all of it gets wasted.
Personally I like tama summer. Her kit is not the best but her face card is just good. The last time I felt this ease of using regarding face card was with jack. Her np is kinda meh but against men, it could actually deal damage. Too bad she suffers from competitors having better kit or better damage especially from a certain welfare. But I would definitely use her because of how easy it is to use her and you can pretty experiment a lot of CE without crippling her performance a lot.

I really love Inshun but he really needs a buff... An on activation attack would be perfect for him or to any face card crit damage dealer really. Maybe increase his attack everytime he crits using his quick card for 20-30%? And 3 turn absorb, it would solve alot of his issue since they designed him to be a glass cannon. That or maybe a guts since he solo fought the shimousa villains by himself it would be pretty accurate as well.
Shockingly for Shishou, I use her in QP and Ember farming; she nukes the final mob in both nodes, as it is divine. She is without doubt, my finisher on those nodes. Even if the mob is saber, she can at least chunk it, and the others 2 servants can chain it to death.
My man. I use Shishou for nearly everything too. Even if she ain't fit for the job of farming, she still gets the job done in time, and gosh darn it she's just so much fun to use!
About Caenis, he actually will get the full 60% on the extra of an NP-B-B chain because the buff activates on the extra card. It'll do as much as if he had a gorilla deck because the buff is 3 times rather than unlimited for 1 turn.
Hektor has the most questionable skill set ever. Before his first skill buff, it was confusing that this guy, who was supposed to be strong at defence, had no defence skills. He still has no hard survival. His skills don't really have any synergy. What the hell is proof of friendship even supposed to be in terms of his lore? It's an annoying skill to face if he is the enemy. Otherwise it's pretty underwhelming. I can see lasagna upgrading that skill in the future to give him a battery or something
The top 5 star lancets you really really can’t go wrong with. Melusine might make it less desirable to go for Roma but you still can and he still will loop perfectly fine with an MLB Kscope or Kpend. Actually in certain nodes too especially since he’s mostly a boss, CQ, and crit servant you can really get away with his crits. There are 3 abilities that would make Quick meta up to par with Arts and Buster. And this goes for anything to do with any effect for skill, NP, passive, or CE. 1: ANY ability that consistently makes use of the excess critical stars for at minimum the 2nd and 3rd turn! 2: Any support character, MC, CE, or dps passive/skill that makes Card RNG extremely reliable which includes; locking cards; generating new and NOT completely random cards by specifying card reshuffle to a specific character’s cards, generating a 6th + 7th card so your attacker has it up for a certain amount of turns, or transforming someone’s cards into the dps’ cards. (Preferably all tbh and it’s arguably more important this happens than does the first point I mentioned) 3: Quick is all about face cards using face cards so they somehow have to not only do what I said above to make the RNG at least reliable 95% of the time but also make the face cards more appealing to use which means all face cards available including the “fodder” support face cards. They could do this by having a “support” character who functions as a dps hybrid who enables all on field characters to all hit equally hard so that no matter who is hitting they will hit hard. A support dps who has skills that maybe extends crit dmg, rainbow, face card dmg, extra card dmg, and ATK buffs to the rest of the team but maybe with an 2 turn unblockable NP seal demerit to deter the use of them as just another support for Arts/Buster loops. Or just one that straight up quadruples the face card dmg and gives potent rainbow crit buffs to the team at the cost of something NP related. It would be so easy to create! The best thing about this is that it would be a way for a new meta to come out and not revolve around NPs and it would be a play-style that ISN’T redundant toward NP focused supports like Castoria, Reines, Koya, and Oberon.
I see Britomart as them bringing up the cross-class advantage like what Mysterious Heroine X did before. It's also an attempt for the omni-farming meta that Quirinus and Melusine did for Lancers. I mean among the standard 7 classes except Berserkers and their natural omni-farm power, Lancers are the best candidate due to their innate 1.05x damage modifiers. Britomart having anti-Rider and anti-Avenger means she is great for mixed nodes and challenge quests.
If Quirinus was released today, his first skill or Charisma variant would have 6 or 7 turn cooldown instead. So many rizz variants nowadays are loaded with effects but has a longer cooldown to "balance" it out.
I would argue ranking Anning as a unit that is replaced by xu fu is kind of unfair to her. She's more similar to mozart imo and can fill a similar roll as an in and out support. She drops her buffs then drops dead. Being a 1 star is helpful in such a case. You can even use ce's like outrage to get her out in one turn.
9 months late, but You can't really compare Anning with Mozart. Mozart is a proper burst unit. He can provide a great turn of damage. Unfortunately, Anning is built as more of a sustain support, as in, a kit revolving around staying in the field. Even comparing to Mozart, he is leagues better than her
My favorite part of using Vitria to loop is that her NP animation time is short. Miss me with 20 second np animations. And clicking plug suit swaps. Save my time.

I think people lately have been giving her too much flak and, while I do agree she is in need of some buffs to a degree, I feel better knowing you of all people agree that she is still worthy of at least A-tier. I think a good buff for Qin Liangyu would be something like NP can add an active 1000 hp per turn for all allies 3 turns demirt taunt on qin...which in a way is treated like a buff since you want enemies to hit her ... and even if they don't hit her...due to invincibility or evade she still get the heals if it was an intended crit.... YES THIS IS ALREADY a thing so it's not new but already there...... Contenance of Loyalty: should add to it add evade for all allies 1(1time) and defense 35% 3 times for all allies and White Calvery skill B could be upgraded to like 25-30% damage against humanoid.... if they did this she would be highly more valuable to people who never gave her a chance... but i would feel bad for those who just discarded her if they ever came with such buffs like this
Moved Par to A tier, but left the Valks in C+ Sadge I've honestly had a few too many cases where Par had to rely on not getting screwed by facecards in the 2nd wave, even though Valks were able to clear without issue, so I have a soft spot for Valks. Par can refund more, but in my experience a difference between 50-55% refund from Valks is just as good as the 60-70% refund you get from Par, since it doesn't change that both can loop just fine.
I honestly feel like parv was done dirty in this video why the insistence on B+? She is the best quick AoE lancer period give her a break! her damage is low but higher np level do compensate (being a non limited sr helps tremendously) i have her at np5 and holy moly she breaks the ennemies in half and sucks on their bone marrow on wave 3. That 2nd skill is perhaps one the best mana burst, 5T cooldown for being essentially immune to debuffs, halving damage, mana burst and 50 stars for a turn? Ow. I disagree with skill 2 being 3 turns, 1T is balanced she would be actually EX if it were 3T it's just you guys underestimating her... Can you imagine a looper such as her with a 3T 50% att, def buff who gens 50 stars per np and is immune to debuffs? That's what you were suggesting lmao at this point pair her with koyan to make her invincible. Her S1 is just universally awesome, single handedly makes her a premier quick looper Listen, the 60% charm might look finnicky but it's AoE AND she has the 50 def up from skill2, even if you're out of luck she wont take much damage anyway. What i'm getting at is that she is actually goated against multiple bosses she WILL loops, stall, crit and skadi's crit buff are nothing to scoff at. it's fairly common to have 3 servants or more in CQ and in this context she stomps. Funnily enough it's the charm that is the biggest nerf to her S2 if your ennemy is charmed they can't attack or debuff you, diminishing the value of her S2. The only problem she has is damage but she scales with np levels and quick bad... Oh and her S3 is a dead skill 80% of the time. Otherwise she is a servant that just works. Look all i'm saying is that B+ was disrespectful and i was about to riot. I can get behind A.
Honestly I don't think she's bette than Fionn, which is A. Worse damage, worse refund, she's quick so stalling is not an option, and her rng charm is bad if you want to rotate the supports.

She has AoE refund and charm on her NP and a targetable battery + heal, put her in a mixed team and she can stall reasonably well. Also, while she's worse than Fionn in terms of NP looping, she's Quick and he's Arts, so it's not like that was ever a fair comparison. She can still farm with Black Grail, though, so I don't see your point.
@@user-tb4zj8sp1k i don't see how her damage could be that much worse than fionn, she can use black grail too and she has in kit 80%+ damage buff (30% quick for 3T and 50% atk) while fionn is stuck with his haggard 1T 40% arts up. The only reason he can outdamage her is because he is has an interlude for his NP but even with this his atk is on the lower end, they are decepteively close and when crits are factored in fionn gets his ass kicked. Refund is the only thing where he is objectively better but that point is moot when your quick crit refunds 50% NP. I did mention parvati is a CQ god didn't i? In pure farming they are about equivalent but in any other scenario fionn is just meh at best A neat little trick about rng is that it can be manipulated in fgo by reseeding the turn. Basically everytime you activate a skill or kill an ennemy the rng uses a new seed. If you REALLY need to charm the ennemy but it doesn't work quit fgo before the turn is fully resolved then reenter the battle use one of the aformentionned trick and hope it works this time around. Is it abusing the game's system? Yes. Does it make luck based mechanics more reliable? Also yes. She is good at stalling, charm+ heal+ high HP+ 10% np gauge party wide is fantastic. On the other hand fionn has bad cooldowns, they got buffed but parvati's skill are ALL on a 5T cooldown... I'm sorry fionn enjoyers but he is just an okay farmer who's otherwise overshadowed by melt. He does not make parvati irrelevant.
@@pougetguillaume4632 finally, someone told the truth. Fionn got a lot better than his initial release. But with all these new units, his kit hasn't aged well. Doesn't help that Percival is permanent and we do get a free sr ticket.
Well someone like Leonidas would benefit a lot from it to improve his tanking and solos because 2 star stats are bad. I probably won't factor in that in my criteria ever though because people should just grail their favorites imo.
For Yu Mei-ren Lancer and Summer Tamamo, keep in mind, the SSR Archers has more males than females, and the only class to have this gender ratio distinction.
rip vritra falling down a bit this year, but yay for cu and eresh in EX again this year. I really hope lasagna buffs parvatti one day, I have her at np3 in NA, and even use plugsuit + traces on her with nero bride, but her damage is still not really good. At least she can still do 3/2/x nodes, I guess.
Despite Vritra being the best Lancer AoE Arts looper the only reason she's ranked lower than the others is because she's a 5 star while they're 4 star so in their eyes that means she's worse for some reason.

Cu got a couple grails out of me just to have that cheap and effective lvl 80 on hand. Okada Izo and Alexander got the same treatment, partly because early in my account I had no luck landing a Rider and I love Iskandr, and Alexander synced up well with my early champion bruiser, Alt-alante. Izo I just liked and wanted a solid cheap Assassin in the roster.

This isn't true. First of all, even against Earth enemies, and with both running the Cranking CE, Melusine is comparable to Ereshkigal (slightly worse turn 1 and 2 slightly better turn 3), and that doesn't count Black Grail. Edit: it also doesn't count that you can't be both Earth and Man attribute, so unlike some, you can't double dip niches in farming with ereshkigal in farming, where Melusine can make full use of the Man attribute bonus. And in farming there's no way to continuously stack the Roman trait like that. You would need to crit twice before NP every turn, and even then it wouldn't stack nicely. And even for bosses, she can start in stage 3, and then you need to crit twice with Romulus before the NP in order to beat out Melusine's damage, which destroys his refund in CQs making supporting harder if you need to fight for more than 3 turns and Melusine still stacks damage on her NP too, and scales way better with Koyanskaya for when the fight only lasts 3 turns

@@matzepizzaheld8541 Melusine wave 3 Bunyan CE 366k Ereshkigal wave 3 Bunyan CE and Against Earth 328k. Melusine does 40k more damage on per enemy. Roma relies on debuffs that don't stack when farming as the guy the debuffs are on dies. This is also a problem in min turns because AoE CQs often have either no break bars or only 1. Plus he needs to precard anyway to keep ahead of Melusine even in CQs, which makes him far more reliant on supports for any needed NP, and can prevent him from running Black Grail in those scenarios, dropping his damage further. Koyanskya gives man attribute niche to every single buster farmer. Little surprised you don't know that given you apparently have done all the research you need to determine that Eresh and Roma in their niches outdamage Melusine
@@adrastos8401 roma can also use his niche because his charisma returns on turn 3 with the cooldown reduction, ofcourse he can’t use it on debuff immune enemy’s but in what scenarios are you farming debuff immune enemy’s, even in aoe cq it’s rare almost irrelevant, and where did you get the numbers from? Plus I don’t consider the man attribute niche as you said everybody gets it, so why do you display it as a advantage for melusin? Pretty biased I think
I actually don't understand why Britomart is B+, while someone like Summer Okita Alter is EX, because they are extremely similar. Britomart's attack when we factor in the 1.05 Lancer modifier is about 15 points below Okitan, which is basically nothing. Their decks are the same, though Okitan has a bit better hitcounts. Their skills are extremely similar with 2-hit invul, 30% NP charge, 30% Np gain, Quick and Buster steroids for 3 turns and some Crit damage. I'd say that Britomart's skills are actually a bit better, but Okitan's have a bit lower cooldown. Their NPs are also similar. Okitan's has better hitcounts, but Britomart can still Black Grail loop triple enemy waves with triple Skadi. Okitan's defensive buff removal is arguably worse than Britomart's invul pierce, since all those dodges and invuls in challenge quests are unremovable half the time. And while Britomart's niches are weird, she at least has two while Okitan doesn't have any. Her anti-riding niche is also for one turn, so she can do some nice damage with her normal attacks afterwards too.
