Try tying a single knot in that space like a patka. It won't affect the shape or comfort. Btw I'm not a gora.......

It depends on ur hair as well. try a doing a loose single knot like david said, but when you get ur under pagh on, gently with the palm of your hand try to unravel the knot or loosen it so it flattens so it doesn't awkwardly stick out in the end.
