Loved fates warning for years and it's finally nice to see the backstage perspective from the band. Ray is so underrated as a singer and should be considered one of the top five singers of all time next to Halford, Geoff Tate and Ralph Scheepers hands down.

31 years ago Ray Alder performed at his VERY FIRST show in the world with Fates Warning on March 20,1988 in Baltimore Maryland and played 2 shows a all age matinee show and a night show for 21 and above. Savatage was also on the co-headling show. This was 2 days before the release of " NO EXIT" Cd. I was lucky enough to hang with Ray before the show at sound check and out in the parking lot and have a few beers and some other goodies lol. My former band MYSTIC-FORCE also opened for Fates Warning on May 15 1988 in Baltimore Maryland and several other times in Baltimore MD and Virginia as well. Fates Warning will always be in my top 5 favorite bands and I just saw Fates Warning & Queensryche in Baltimore MD at a SOLD OUT SHOW. Ha ha ha ha... love the "Fox News... we stay away from that" part. Love Ray. Love FW. Always have. Always will. But I do have to completely bust out laughing at Ray singling-out Fox News. Because yeah... CNN, MSNBC, etc are somehow less propagandists. But that's okay Ray... you'll always be my favorite FW vocalist (despite finding FW during the JA days). But at SOME point you and the rest of the world should come to an understanding of exactly what the "news" does. Hint: it is NOT actually INFORMING people about REAL news. But hey... far be it from me to hinder your intellectual development. By all means... take your time figuring-out that it's ALL bullshit, designed to confuse you and EVERYone else regarding actual TRUTH. S'all good man... you can still make awesome music and still be completely clueless about your role, and the rest of our roles in a world where we're ultimately ALL just pawns.
