JK sometimes pronounces with hard k in interviews in the West. Jimin is Gmin. We don't say it right. Park is Bak. We say park. Jimin says Park. Theu know how we typically say their names. I call jungkook Kook so don't think too much about saying it wrong. We say it like Americans.

I think for V, they say “BWI” since there’s no V sound in Korean language. Now however, they try to say it in the actual pronunciation of the letter V but from time to time you still catch them say Bwi . Not just the members but other Idols, Korean fans or Media etc would say “Bwi” instead of V.

In fairness, ALL of their birth names are tricky, some more-so than others. However, the fact is, the vast majority of ARMY doesn't speak Korean. (Though many of us are trying to learn.) It's natural to see the Romanization of their names and pronounce them how we would in English. Even Jimin's can be difficult. We see the "Ji" and think "jih" (somewhat, but not exactly, like the "ju" in "just"). In Korean? The J is actually more of a "ch" sound, so it's either "Cheemin" (SORT of a long "e" sound) or "Chemin" (short "e" in English). At least the "min" is accurate (just like the "min" in "mint"). LOL Yet no one (or, VERY rarely does anyone) ever complain about English speakers pronouncing his name wrong. Seokjin and Hoseok (Jin and J-Hope) To the untrained ear, the "seok" parts of their names sound like "sock", but they actually pronounce the eo AS "eo", not "awk"/"awhk"...but you can't accurately type that sound in English because there is no English equivalent. Yoongi (Suga)? It's like "you" with an "n" at the end...that much is fairly easy. The Romanized "gi"? That can be "gee" (like "gee whiz"), "gee" (like in "geese"), or...in Yoongi's case...pronounced more like "key", and it all depends on the Korean spelling. Romanization - of any kind (note: there are several different Romanization versions) - is VERY inaccurate 95-98% of the time. Basic fact: Korean has sounds English doesn't...and vice versa. Honestly, that goes for almost any language, really. Anyway, we just try the best we can with what we know. Don't worry too much if you're pronouncing it "wrong". MOST of us - as well as BTS themselves - know we're trying. That's why many of us just use their nicknames instead of their real or (sometimes) stage names, even when typing. At least "V" is an easy one! LOL

My daughter is learning Korean and she has told me that often K, W and H are silent in a lot of words and names. It can be very confusing at first for sure. I think he probably goes by JK cos it's easier for people to pronounce lol

And trash cans and their lids ,beat boxing, radio music, and yes, singing contributed to the overall good time. You are pronouncing his name in English. Just like the last name Kim is not pronounced like the English word Kim yet that's how folks say it. Same goes for the last name Lee, it's pronounced ee but in English it's Lee. I say just do the best you can.
