The story is a personal favourite of ours. when we watch it, it takes us back to a time when, as children, we had little to worry about and could dream as big as our minds would let us. We hope it brings you all as much joy as it's brought us.

Both the British and the American versions are good in their own right, and I do like both of them, but i actually grew up watching the British version with all the "Bloomins". It just feels more in tune with my childhood Christmas memories. When I first saw the American version I was confused. It didn't take too long to figure out what was up, and then I shrugged it off, but its really great to hear and see the original British version again.

I had the books of this and father Christmas goes on holiday and I never saw this, the animated films! I always imagined what he sounded like:a grumpy old Yorkshire man but I guess his voice is more londoner. Oops. I wrote from the books to my text to speech reading agent and the way I spelled things had it pronounce the words so weird like olideay. Basically made up new words that I actually use in real life after that. Everybody love the funny words I made up. It always made me laugh. Now I finally get to see the cartoons I'm so happy

So is it ok for children to watch something such as this when it is presented in the wrong format and everything is the wrong shape? I think not. The upload running for 26 minutes 2 seconds is how it should be seen.

I had a toy cat, a yellow cushion with houses on it from my escort and driver and Fuzzy Felt from Mum’s brother and a pink wind up mouse with cheese, I think. I thought I was 7, but I was 6 and Lindsay was nearly 3.

This is the cleaned up American version where Santa's not allowed to say "Bloomin". Sad and not as charming as the British correct version, but still good.
