I been just telling visitors outright these days have FEAR for one the ocean and then the forests in hawaii. Its the only thing that can spark common sense over non sensical happiness. So devastating to hear such a thing. When in doubt dont go out. And just because the locals may be doing something doesnt mean the mainlanders can do the same. But all in all just play things safe.
Sorry been thinking alot about the previous post i did and i wanna revise. Of course you gotta have fear for the immense power of mother nature if anyone of you seen a volcano or experienced a eartquake the power is unbelieveable. You figure the heaviest machinery man has ever made is a laugh to the power of what earth is capable of but on the contrary if you ever are in a bad situation you have to pull yourself together and dont stress out. It will save your life. Panic is what people hyperventilate and die from. If ever your in a undertoe or ripcurrent let it take you and swim calmly parallel to the beach. Dont fight it. Pro surfers i think survive from being calm as possible when they are pulled under a 30 foot wave. when you think about it there are air bubbles in water with that much turning with a wave crashing if your not fighting holding your breath you will get some air. Its just you will ingest alot of water aswell which is the bad thing so it goes back again to being calm.
