I think Paul does know what happened but just can't let himself believe his brother's friends and brothers in blue would actually do this to him. Jen was his sisters friend. I think it is breaking Paul's brain that this is really true. I think that is part of Paul's anger. If Karen did this then he doesn't have to admit that these friends did this

Could it be, because everyone had to protect Colin, pretend he wasn't there and for so long too, hat they get fed up and want to save their own skin and throw Colin under the bus, so to speak? So that they themselves remain protected and they think that it is finally over and they can get on with their own lives without the whole world pointing fingers at them? His parents would of course not want to go along with this at all, because they have pulled out all the stops to prevent him from being arrested. But by doing that, I think the karmic wheel is turning and he will be arrested... and then it's over for Karen, when they have the real perpetrator(s) she will become finally free?

They were dealing drugs through the Pizza shop and Colin was low key dealing round Johns house. Colin appears high in all of his bang bang videos, John made a report of said activity and they felt threatened. Report was never made public by Canton PD
