Hebrews chapters 7-10 ( KJV ) clearly teach that temple worship and sacrifice along with the priesthood were abolished by the Lord Jesus Christ at Calvary. The catholic cult is pagan worship, as is the c of e and the other non biblical denominations. Hmm... “helicopter” parents. Have you ever heard of mislabeling? Of course there are “helicopter” parents; but I have found it to be a term used against parents who are actually parenting. Sorry, Father, but your explanation of what schools often label parents missed the mark for me. It is largely used by educators and administrators to shame the student (that their parent would “get involved”) AND the parent to get them to concede their God given responsibility in their child’s education. We’d better be “giving our kids Jesus” and making them saints in our Catholic schools because the academics are hard aligning to the oh-so-common standards. #RepealESSA
Hi Father Mike- I was wondering what the Church has done to protect children from being harmed by priests? As you probably know hundreds of priests have been convicted of child abuse just in the Los Angeles area between 1990-2020. Can you address why the Pope has allowed these assaults to continue? First we need to acknowledge who is abusing the kids. Mostly boys. These people infiltrated the priesthood. You have to accept this truth. Otherwise nothing can be done.

In the NT Christ is a zamboni to us, a zamboni sibling to be more exact. He paves the way and lights the path. When you're walking with Him, listening to Him He directs your peds. He's always guiding us, trying to get us to hear Him, telling us not to go to a certain place, not to engage in a certain activity, or, conversely, to do a particular good in the world, or to even just to turn left instead of right when we're taking a drive. You're right, parents and educators do need to help us to be resilient, to learn how to think critically, to problem solve, and how to be disciples. But, too, we need to recognize that we can only do it correctly, in a healthy mindset, when we learn the difference between the OT Yahweh and the NT Christ. They are two totally different approaches to life and love. You are a star, Michael Schmitz. Not one of the demon ones--as listed in mythology and/or as recorded within the extraneous documents that explain a number of characters in the Bible--but, a shiny one, of merit, heart, and universal goodness.
