Brian Siallagan Nah he has a point. He wouldnt be shedding these tears for some “jail time”, although he’d be upset to go in jail but it was defo for his babygirl.
“Lock up your gun” is a serious message. You never know if a child accidentally stumbles upon it and accidentally kills their self, commits suicide, murders someone, etc. I feel the father as the look in his eyes tells the whole story
There's no such thing as an accident when a firearm is involved. If a gun goes bang and you didn't intentionally press that trigger then this is negligence and he should be prosecuted and spend some time in jail. This did not have to happen.
@ Hell no man. Guns in general are one of humanity’s biggest mistakes in my opinion, but you need some way to protect yourself in this horribly unpredictable world.
Jill Kews you don’t know the part of the city they live. Simply put, in certain circumstances some people have to break the law to protect their lives and the lives of their families. Sadly, this can be the result of that
FlamableDrip5 and them breaking the law is most likely why it’ll never change.still he fucked up and lost his rights, this is the punishment unfortunately. On top of his daughter too
Exactly.. I get that his gun wasn't legal but i feel that they were WAYYY to harsh on him. Meanwhile Brooke Skylar Richardson wasn't branded a criminal and won her court case even though she actually did kill her baby. If you ask me it was a clear case of him being black so his punishment is about to hit 10 times harder.
@@hypeman1825 Idiots like you always make it into a race thing. White people have ridiculous shit like this happen to them as well. It's not exclusively black people.

This is my very first comment ever, but as a father of a 1 1/2 year old daughter this hits different. As a grown-ass man I’m sitting here at work, tears in my eyes for about a hour and still can‘t get over this. His face said it all. He would give his life to bring her back. The pain that father has to go through knowing he lost his little angel by HIS OWN fault cannot be described. There is nothing that can ever compensate his pain. Now I need to go home early, buy my daughter a present and treasure every moment with her (Like I always do). Take care everyone
@element Thanks mate, you got it. Just ignore those negative people like the one up there. They‘re just seeking for attention. So the best thing to do, is not giving them any of it. Live your life the best you can and don‘t get distracted nor dragged down by anyone. Wishing you and your family all the best!
@Bazooka Gaming Girl Gaming Girl Hes crying because he is not a cold hearted narcissist and he has emotions like a normal human being and obviously cares for his daughter. Grow up
If you're a felon, don't own guns...but if you absolutely have to, then at least make sure your child can't get to it. I don't feel bad for the father, I feel bad that a child lost their life due to a parent's irresponsibility. He definitely deserves SOME jail time to reflect...then a therapist.
jeongins left toe okay, I respect you so much for that! That man didn’t deserve to be put in jail, HE JUST LOST A DAUGHTER he deserves therapy and help! His daughter in the hand of Jesus Christ is the best thing he can think about right now, he should be out.
@HAYDEN ERICKSON he shouldn’t be charged with mansaughter because that isn’t what manslaughter is but you saying just because he’s black made u look stupid af
Brookie Bee Well why keep an illegal loaded gun next to ur child if thats not ur intentions. We should feel sorry for wannabe gangsta thugs who commit crimes and dont care for their offsprings safety??
E J you males are idiots. Did you not see the remorse in his eyes? No, because you are an idiot. If I lived in America I would probably keep a gun too for protection. Yeah, he made a huge mistake and should’ve kept the gun in a safer place. But if you had the slightest bit of intelligence you would know that he didn’t intend for his daughter to shoot herself.
I don't care how remorseful he is. That baby is dead. Lock up your guns! If you don't and your kids or someone else's are shot and hurt or killed, you should go the fuck to jail. PERIOD! Most people who love their children are remorseful when something happens as a result of their neglect. That doesn't mean people shouldn't be held responsible.
E J why would he want his daughter to shoot herself YOU SOUND DUMB. This man probably hid it and had it for protection. I’m POSITIVE he didn’t want her to shoot herself.

Gomez Gomez I get what you saying but think about it if that’s where their house is in the video you can understand why he has the gun.., For his protection “Rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6”
Of course he should still have been charged, he negligently got his daughter killed, even if it's someone you love that dies it doesn't change whether you were reckless or not.
@@Tait1990 what kind of gun was it. Cause either he didnt have it on safe for some reason. Or the gun didnt have a safe. And its not rocket science to pull a trigger. I knew a trigger before preschool
So if you wanna kill your kid just give them a gun to play with and say its an accident. This man is the reason this girl is dead and he should be punished for his neglect.
@@xXdwebbXx When did he say it was an accident. Those are real tears man! Prison is supposed to be a place where you can reflect on your life choices. But you can tell this man is reflecting on it bad enough. He just lost his daughter.
Nope. It's the punishment for being irresponsible. If some toddler killed themselves with your neighbor's gun because they were careless, how would you react?
That fact that he lost his daughter is definitely punishment enough. If he had another daughter while that incident happened you think that later on in life he will STILL keep a gun in reach of a child NOOO!!!
I understand how everyone's heart hurts for this dad and his family. It's such a tragic loss, but are we going to ignore the fact that he was never supposed to have possession of guns due to priors? In addition, he decided to go against those orders and didn't keep the gun in a safe location away from where a kid could get a hold of it; furthermore, there wasn't a trigger lock. I'm not saying people don't make mistakes and this was clearly an accident. That baby did not deserve to die and this man does not deserve to lose a child...but there is a reason he should not have had a gun in the first place. I feel bad for the young life that was lost and the heartache he will forever feel knowing this could have been prevented.
This isn't fair. He didn't deserve this. Yes. He shouldn't have had it in his child's reach. But c'mon HE LOST HIS CHILD ALREADY THINKING IT'S HIS FAULT. That's enough, no more, please.
Why the fuck would they free him? He probably has many well deserved charges such as probation violation, illegal gun, child endangerment, and maybe even manslaughter.
It’s tragic that such a young girl lost her life because of a mishap. The pain the father must be feeling for having lost his daughter like this is significantly worse than any sentence in jail. Keeping him and the family in my thoughts.
1:35 bruh wtf.. why did they say that. that’s so disrespectful. “nae nae wanted to be a boxer when she grew up, but sadly she lost her fight this past saturday.” like.. who tf thinks that is a good thing to say to tens of thousands of people.
that look in his eyes. he’s clearly so fucking hurt, this video reminds me of those lyrics “i can see it in your eyes that you want to get out, i can see it in your eyes that you need it right now”
Just be because tragedy stuck doesn’t mean he’s allowed to avoid any punishment for obtaining an illegal firearm as a convicted felon. Breaking to law to get that illegal firearm is what led to the horrible tragedy after all, regardless of the result
It's not just about consciousness and good intentions, but also about effects. For example, of you kill someone in a car accident, even it wasn't your intention to kill that person, and it's not a problem of moral consciousness you're still gullible for your actions. It's an interesting spectrum of ethics that deals with gullability and moral accidents. The justice system is trying to get a balance between intention and action in its punishment.

You know this how? Why exactly did his friend make the claim that they didn't hear a gunshot? He claims that he heard a body hit the floor. A 6 year old body at that. I wonder how much a six year old weighs. I wonder if a six year old falling over is louder than a gunshot. They are obviously lying. They were not watching her. Fuck that dude. Fuck off, seriously, why is everyone defending him, people who get wasted and then crash into a family and kill them never meant to hurt anybody, but we still throw them in jail for forty years, and rightfully so, because when ur negligence costs someone else their life, that death is on ur hands, and u deserve punishment
Austin0 first of all if your wasted you shouldn’t be driving . You think if he would’ve known she would’ve got the gun he would have it there ? No . He shouldn’t be in jail he should be getting help from loosing his daughter because he loves her and he never meant for that to happen.
It’s absolutely sickening to hear about these type of cases. Majority of kids shooting theirselves, the adult aren’t suppose to have weapons to begin with. They should get Life for as many years as they took from that child.
Now look at Bill Cosby. He committed an offense years ago. And he is 80 something years old going to jail for perhaps the rest of his life. 3 to 10 years, he will more than likely die in there. Now look at the woman who lied on Emmett Till. The Other Woman is dead the two men are dead who killed him. She confessed to the crime that she lied, but no was knocking her up. Such a sad situation in this world.

What can you do to a man who's lost his world? If you think prison could do anything at this point your mistaken. The pain in him will swallow anything you could do to him. The fact he will never escape that is more punishment than anybody deserves. I have daughters and the look in his eyes shook me to my core. It reached in and grabbed my soul. He has already been sentenced and nothing you do to him will ever matter.
It would have been an accident if he wasn't a felon w/previous gun convictions. Getting even one felony & locking up your guns is all ppl can learn from this. Sad for little girl and him. Ive made mistakes myself, God knows, I cant judge anyone.
Maybe in a way this is a better solution for him. You can see the remorse in his eyes. If he came out of this scot free, the guilt in her death would eventually kill him anyway. At least in this way, there’s some physical punishment for this accident. He was a previous felon and wasn’t supposed to have a gun either. Not a direct cause of death, but he indirectly harmed his little girl. Having no punishment in this would probably make him feel way worse. It’s not gonna turn back time, but it can be part of his penance.
I agree, he is in enormous pain i can see it in his eyes. He is tormented by her death. Putting him in prison makes no sense he is already in his own personal hell.
Welp, he CHOSE to have a gun and CHOSE to leave it lying around even though he wasn't supposed to have a gun in the first place due to previous felonies. This man is already on death row from his own emotions. Sorry to hear about his daughter's death. My condolences to him and his family.
It being a mistake dosent excuse it happening, it was preventable and he wasn't legally allowed to have a gun in the first place, clearly for good reason! He's guilty of causing his daughters death through his reckless actions, a gun is not a toy, I'm sure he feels shitty but has no one to blame but himself, he failed in his duty of care to his daughter, sheer negligence.
Team Titan A six year old is not responsible for shooting herself, she's six, she doesn't know what a gun is, she wasn't trying to kill herself, if children could look after themselves we wouldn't need to raise them would we? There wouldn't be child neglect laws would there? Even legally,(at least in my country) children under the age of 10 can't be prosecuted as it's thought by psychologists that they don't fully understand the consequences of their actions, because their brains aren't fully developed.
