Fun Fact: In Sonic Battle, Emerl can copy other character's moves (but you already knew that, it's obvious), but the thing is: the two fastest run moves you can get are Sonic Run and Shadow Run. Sonic Run has a speed of 6 And Shadow Run has a speed of 7 This pretty much confirms that Shadow is faster than Sonic, even if only by a little bit.

we all know sonic as one of the most optimistic characters, but..remember the plot from the IDW comics with the zombie virus. even there he tried to be optimistic, but this track perfectly describes his feelings
It’s still sounds happy. But more calm then original. Like if you play the same zone in other time of day or by another character with different gameplay
Sonic woke up on the ground saying "I- I can't move my legs" in pain, for 15 seconds, he kept saying in pain "Come on Come on 😟" He cried before he realized, he hit a branch, broke his spine, got knocked out, and is now paralyzed, He was Crying in pain, being beat up by the badniks until he died, the badniks watched him has he slowly deteriorated to bones.
This makes me think of an old person with dementia whose memories are slowly being ripped away from them- not being able to control it. But then- you remember- sonic. The game you used to play and love. But you can feel all memories of it slowly slipping away, like everything else you hold dear. You try your best to remember, but then bask in the enjoyment you used to get out of it; you coming to terms with the fact that you’ll forget this game and just enjoy your final moments with it.
It's in C major though, isn't it? The 'verse' features Fmaj7 - Em7 - Dm7 - Cmaj7 descending progression, which looks more like C major to me. And, naturally, the other section finishes with very dominant-like G, that strongly suggests a resolution to C (it doesn't though, it goes back to Fmaj7).
I don't know why, but I find this to be humerous. It's extremely well done, and has that melancholic feel, but I think it's just the Sonic on screen mixed with an image of him tripping and the game ending then and there
that's not quite right! I had to reconstruct the song from scratch in FL Studio using Genny (which lets you load the samples/sounds used in Sega Genesis tracks). Once I did that, I rewrote every part to flip the tonality from major to minor and then had to rewrite some parts again because they just straight up sounded bad. So, a bit more involved than lowering the pitch. I'm really glad you liked it though!!
