I'm a bit late to this but honestly, I'm still confused why everyone hates Dark Cacao's voice. I personally think it suits him and while sometimes it does come off as comedic I don't really think there could be a better voice for him that wouldn't sound silly
Cotton Cookie losing Sherbert Cookie is sad enough, but Dark Choco Cookie's past and him in general just hits harder than Cotton's. At least Cotton Cookie got better and lived a full happy life, Dark Choco Cookie had failed to protect his kingdom to the point that he assaulted his father and left (I don't know how old he was when this happened (since most cookies have speculated ages) but I would assume he was a teenager?). Keep in mind that Pomegranate Cookie forced him to remember that to the point he started to break (I would assume before that bitch tried to break Dark Choco, Licorice Cookie tried to break them apart when their fight started to get intense). Spoiler alert; Dark Choco finally realizing that his sword is controlling him and it is giving him too much power to the point he gives up on it and leaving the Cookies of Darkness is one of the best moments out of Cookie Run Kingdom and the Cookie Run franchise overall. After he and his father, Dark Cacao Cookie, reconcile, Pomegranate had the audacity to mind rape Dark Cacao to the point that his Soul Jam's power started to turn him into a rampaging ghost(?). I wanted to crumble that Pomegranate for that. Luckily, GingerBrave and his friends defeated him to the point he returned to his normal self and received a letter from Pure Vanilla (though I wished he told him that White Lily has turned into Dark Enchantress). Now that Dark Choco has slashed Pomegranate (I cheered for that) and left his sword behind, I hope he comes back for the better. (I was watching Royal Mike's cutscenes for the Dark Cacao levels since I am stuck on the Pitaya Dragon level in the Hollyberry Level because he is hard to defeat) Though Dark Choco Cookie isn't one of my favorite characters, his past hurts me because it was so regretful that I can really relate to him. I feel so bad for this guy that I just wish to jump inside of my device, comfort him, and tell him that everything is gonna be okay.
This proves that Licorice and Dark Choco actually have a side that isn't fully darkness, (Dark Choco, maybe not at first.) Licorice tried to break the fight between Dark Choco and Pomegranate. And of course, we see Dark Choco let go of the sword and leave the darkness. Pomegranate is fully in the darkness and fully devoted to Dark Enchantress, and Poison Mushroom...they don't know what they're doing if, I'm being honest.
You’re right Dark Choco’s past hit me and his my favorite character and when he comes back I hope that he will come back with a new personality and a new design
It feels so incomplete imo. We still don't really know why the kingdom was falling in the first place and caused dark choco to want to lead change. It seems they went back to how they were before... Perhaps they will take a break from ancient after ancient and gingerbrave n co follow dark choco..?
Pretty sure the female cookie at the beginning isn't caramel arrow cookie because her bow has normal string and CA has a different string (ok no is CA just something i want to bring up)
I think it is Caramel Arrow because the lady at the start said something like “my prince you promised us a future as strong as the chocolate mountains themselves” and in ep 14 Caramel arrow said “My prince…You promised a future as strong as the mountains… Yet instead,you assaulted your own king…!”at their reunion or smth plus it might just be an early design
@@youi_n0me265 i feel.. you're right, i was about reading that words from dark mode clip then then equate it with in eps 14 too. Even thought the CA design and the voice in earlyer is different than on the eps 14, i think, that's CA young version before she get the op or twin dragon bow (if i think correctly)
@@lazyqwert I think the voice is a bit different because they haven’t really decided the character yet and stuff at that time since dark mode came out a long time ago.
This is such an emotional scene with some of the lines being similar to Dark Choco Cookie seeing his past and the argument between Dark Choco Cookie and Dark Cacao Cookie is so very emotional….
1:52 NOOO, THIS IS WAY TOO DEPRESSING What I understood from here it's that he repents for not showing his son enough love, only power, and that drive Dark Choco Cookie to be badly influenced by Dark Enchantress Cookie, and she told him that he would find love there, and that drive him to betray his own father.
I don't get why people hate Cacao so much, after thinking on it he was like "damn i really didn't show that i loved you did i?" Not only that when they bring up the "your not my son" line thats after two murder attempts and breaking into the kingdom. Hes not a malevolent abus3r, he was just unintentionally neglectful.
OMGGG FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT I have the same reaction tbh Also Dark Cacao was completely unaware of strawberry jam sword curse. So for him: his son just suddenly attacked and nearly killed him for no reason. I mean, imagine how hurt it was for dark Cacao too? Yes, he wasn't all that great, but damn, he was hurt too. Also, I always thought that Cacao was overly aggressive to Choco(and unfairly send Caramel Arrow away) bc of Affogato influence. I mean, there were hints that Affogato can influence someone through those weird stick-smoke thingies so...
@@emptinessitself to add onto that- it's expanded on that the reason Cacao sent her away was both affogato and the fact that if the citadel fell he needed her with the citizens to protect them. Along with the aggressive thing, I think it's from stress, in all of his scenes he's really going through it.
@@emptinessitself also also- we finally have character interactions with cacao and the Ancients! :D but yeah- honestly I'd disown my son too if he literally said he was going to kill everyone in the citadel if I didn't give him my funky stone. Like at that point cacao neither knew about the curse, or realized he was a terrible parent. From his pov this was all unwarranted. Not only that- he was kinda chill when choco appeared, like he was ready to accept him back just from an apology (before Choco announced *why* he was there)

The saddest part is when poison mushroom say dark choco cookie don't leave who is gonna try my shroomies because poison he sounds so sad while saying it and it makes me sad every time I see it
When I finished episode 13-14, I really couldn't help but feel very heartbroken after that, this game looks fun and cute, yet, has very deep stories (and saddening, like Cotton losing her friend), 11/10 😭
I feel like dark cacao has something to do with it, sense he told dark choco to not fight it (referring to the sword probably) and is why he always blames himself for why dark choco is like this

Okay I know I’ve like watched this the third time watching this and it’s been 3 months but Dark choco didn’t only make a mistake Dark cacao also did to cause he was busy to be able to give enough love to Dark choco cause in the spell Dark choco got placed Dark cacao seemed not happy of his son choices of change to the kingdom but , he tried to give him enough attention and once he grabbed the strawberry jammed sword his first voice was to slain his father when he didn’t even mean to the sword controlled him into slaying him and Dark Cacao felt like a betrayal and told him to leave the citadel.In the story he realizes that sword has been controlling him as he got another voice and he decides not to follow it and uses it to slain pomegranate cookie.His vision gets cleared on his life past and he feels free of not being in sorrowing and suffering of the swords threat .
It's like Among Us that Dark Choco Cookie is the impostor. He betrayed his father and Pomegranate Cookie. He both attacked them with his sword at least once. Sus Choco Cookie???

Pov:When he betrayed his father Question: What do he really need the soul jam or his sword? Explanation: If Cotton lost Sherbet ,lets make it new. Dark Cacao lost is Son/Dark Choco. If no one gets me I mean here is that, When Dark Choco is being controlled by his sword the first time's in one of those time's He as we know Dark Choco well he betrayed his father Dark Cacao. But since here's the problem Dark Cacao he or they will never open there/his hands to protect there kingdom since then. I'm guessing because of what happened to "THE FINALL BATTLE" in the beginning of the game he closed his hands to his people.
