Bro this one touched me. Black men and their fathers is something that needs to be discussed and shown on a national level honestly, unfiltered, and promoted towards a better future for men and their existence.
Once again the brother Kraig is a beast! Getting perspectives and insights from men of a different generation. Definitely catching this show. Salute gentleman!
No jokes today just want to say much respect to Kraig, Dwann, and both of their OG’s. As Black Men it’s rare that we give our Pop’s praise publicly, and it was an honor to see Kraig and Dwann do that. I lost my Pops 4/13/2019 to cancer/copd. He was 58 years young. I damn near shed a tear seeing Mr. Smitty, and Mr. DeWayne kick game on here. My Pops was the coolest, smoothest, funniest, bass playing dude that walked this Earth. So when you see me on here cracking jokes just know I learned that from my OG. Much respect, and love to y’all brothers 🙏🏾✊🏾💯
@@babylon6847 I appreciate that. Just spend as much time with your family as you can. At the end of the day, they’re the most important people that will ever be in your life
I remember seeing that last episode of the third season of Roast Me. Kraig won the title for best roaster of that season, very well deserved to say the least. At the end of that episode, Kraig had made a statement highlighting how the industry needed more guys like him. This is Kraig today, bringing that dream into fruition. The inspiration wasn't ever the things that Kraig did, it was the things that he said he would do. If you can't get it from me, get it from GAWD!
Shoutout to smitty bringing up the racism on these jobs against blacks from Asians and Mexicans. We often talk about what whites are doing but a lot of white supremacist tactics are carried out by others too especially when money is involved.
You didn't Lose Him,Best Believe! He's with You Now! My Father passed on in 2018 as Well & EVERY Day since,I've been walking with & talking to My Father.. Born in '56,From Ohio(a Real Player)Smitty reminds Me So Much of Him; mannerism & Looks Damn near just like My Father. Blessings to You & All Kraig, this was a A1 Episode!✌🏾❤️✊🏾
I always said we needed to meet Smitty & look at Gawd Gawd Gawd... we getting a dope ass episode. U know u listen to the dopest podcast on the planet when it has likes & comment more than 24 hrs til the episode drops.
Lil man was getting a kick out of seeing hisself on the monitor behind Kraig lol. My stepson, exwifes son wason the spectrum also looks like he was having a great time...
"When you get that old money it's nothing they can do to you... it's that new money that get yo ass in trouble errytime" - Pretty Smitty from Detroit City
So much game on this episode..Kraig & Dwann y’all truly are blessed. Y’all have access to walking history books 🙌🏾 God bless both of y’all pops real talk 🙏🏾 🤞🏾
Kraig...Thank you for sharing your pops and Dwan's pops with us on this episode. Powerful stuff my brotha. We need more content like this on the internet especially for our young street soldiers who need this wisdom and guidance.
My eyes didn't leave the screen not one time. I love hearing from the elders and their perspectives on life from their era and up to the present. They are around the same age as my parents as well. Thanks and salute to Kraig and Dwann for sharing this with us. 🙏
Greatest episode of all time. Great discussion, great dynamics, great energy. History, Life, Politics. There should've been an additional hour to hear more of the elders.
I love and respect how Kraig has grown from when he first appeared on the 5150 Show to building his own brand and doing things his way (like this episode)
When Mr Smitty said "I gotta get the CHEESE", I was like thats a Detroit cat. They always call money cheese lol Thank you two for sharing your fathers with us. Monumental broadcast. One that we all needed
Talk to/ spend time with him everyday while you still can bro. I lost my Pops in 2019. Let your OG know how much you appreciate him. You blessed to even still have him around my G 💯
Great show Kraig, cherish your dad. My dad passed away in 2013, this show made me cry reminiscing about him. He was born in 1953, he was Mr. Smitty and Mr. Dwayne's age range.
Bro this was like sitting in the barbershop back in the day getting my hair cut when I was little. Just sitting in the chair listening to the older men talk about all kinds of stuff. Dope episode.
This was so damn dope! You can really see how & why Kraig & Duwan are who they are now. Kraig yall tapped into something so simple but genius. People need this type of conversation. You know how many dudes grew up game goofy because they didn't get an opportunity to have dialogue like this or see real men like this. Thank yall both for sharing yall Pops with those of us that didnt have one. SALUTE✊🏾💯
I loved seeing lil dude in back getting joy out of everyone stories and laughter I was watching it just like that too In awe and excitement This was such a treat
It's episodes like this, that have me support my guy. Sharing your parents with the world, that's dope. I preciate kraig. Lost my pops in 09 to cancer. My og was born in 55 too. Again thanks for sharing
Kraig and Dwann. This was a fire yet bittersweet episode. Alot of men out here can't even count on their fingers the amount of times they ever seen their fathers and you guys just sitting here chopping it up like it's just another day. Appreciate you guys giving us a chance to vicariously experience you guys' bonding with your fathers. Elder history and jewels never disappoint.
Man Bro. Peace Kraig. Sometimes I fall asleep with the T.V. on, when I woke up this morning, this was what was on. My Pops was born in '56, I lost Him in '01. Our Fathers look like Brothers Fam. Like I'm looking and listening and at the same time kinda imagining what my Pops would look like right now. It's crazy their resemblance. I appreciate You G. Thank You for the OGs and the wisdom. Peace
One of the best podcast episodes I have ever seen, the element of 2 father and son combo’s speaks volumes in this day and age, salute to Kraig Smith and Dwann, talk about setting the bar !!! 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
There's been a lot of attention lately about black folk interviewing our grandparents and those nearing death, which is great and something I hope continues. But I hope that this picks up steam as well. It's equally as valuable to hear the stories of those who lived through the 70s and 80s as it is to hear the Jim Crow stories.
Love this segment kraig! You started something man by having your father and dwann’s on the show. Great perspectives and story telling about 2 different generations. I love your show bro! Keep pushing cause you making noise out here!!! 💪🏾✊🏾
Im not going to lie… there’s a lane for the OG’s we need them.. Imagine adding Bobby Glanton Smith in this episode.. This could be a new podcast.. Just dropping jewels of wisdom …
I give props to this kind of conversation in times of old the elders use to pass down and back their life experiences which was excepted by the younger guys i use to feed on the story's from the older men it was an advantage to get early knowledge that was always on point i always knew the older men knew more about life experiences than me so when i was confronted wiith certain insidents i referred to what i had heard from the conversations of the older men which never led me wrrong
Gah damn... Never had a relationship with my pops, he wasn't there and I don't really fuck with him but I swear on my late mama, this episode got me missing him for the first time and wishing we were closer. Blessins
Wow…😍😍This was amazing. Excellent interview gentleman. Reminds me of my daddy and uncles. I LOVE listening to them speak and drop knowledge. 🙌🏾 And they are hilarious without even trying😂🤣. Thank y’all for sharing your daddies. They need their own podcast 😂🤣🤣🤣
I felt like when I use to sit down and talk with my pops and my grandad. Only thing missing is a pack of Kools and some Blue Top. Good old school conversations. No filter. Non PC.
I appreciate listening to Mr. Smith and Mr. Brown speak. My father would have been in and around these gentlemen’s age. With him not being apart of my life, I missed these lessons and had learn the school of hard knocks. I hope a part 2 will follow based on how this episode ended. Peace and blessings.
Dope episode fellas; I'm glad I watched. Good to see some OG's dropping game and remind us how things change when real men step up. I don't have the best relationship with my Pops, but maybe I should try a little bit harder...thanks for the reminder.
Well overdue. I was raised by my grandparents and they’d talk like this for hours. I appreciate this more than conversation with ppl my age most of the time.
