@@herbivorethecarnivore8447 also, like "kids say stuff" is such vague bs.. Like yes, there could be a situation there kid doesn't fully comprehend or maybe the kid is just confused from the accident but even then, that's such s specific thing to say. Cuz the dad didn't just say "no he has no mom" he said there's NO ONE else... There's no way a kid in that situation would be that confused, that's forgetting the fundamental reality of your life stuff. So if you believe the dad's not lying then the kids hit his head much harder than they thought and should be on a bed next to dad getting all the CT scans

@@TjPhysicist i guess the most charitable explanation was that the dad started dating again and the kid has started forming a connection, but the dad didn't think of his new gf in the moment when the doctor's asked. even then, it's something that needs to be brought up to the hospital staff

Spoiler . . . . . The father had kidnapped his own son, accusing the mother of being a drug addict, and had a warrant out on him. When the mother arrives to collect her son, she seems somewhat under the influence, and Brett confronts her about that. When the mother threatens to have Brett fired in response, Brett fires back "That's Sylvie Brett, with two T's!" - thus the name of the episode.
