It's so weird how music can completely transport you back to a time. I remember exactly where I was for most pieces of music on my playlist. This song I added to my playlist during a night 7 years ago when I was 23, working as a photographer to this cool student pub in Cardiff and a Welsh DJ I was bonking was playing this to the room. I think I was a bit stoned because the vibe of the place made my brain sooo excited, I ran over to ask him what it was. It's not just about the place or time but who you where as a person in the moment, and I think that is fucking beautiful.

I absolutely adore 'What's a girl to do' and I'm a huge fan of Basic Channel. This edit takes me on an incredible journey for almost 8 minutes, delivering an extraordinary listening experience that leaves me exhilarated.

Found this gem just now...in *2023* ... I have to say the vibe of this song is just *unreal* ..❤‍🩹

I love how artists appreciate other art through their art. The voice in between as a lot have guessed is Scarlett's voice from Lost in translation. A beautiful scene where she confronts her feelings of being lost and not knowing what to do. Perhaps that's why the title of the track. Just absolutely beautiful!

Totally explending way to mix this marvelous song, the soul of the song is still there yet fragments like in the ones at 4:12 and 6:36 add some fun
