I had a crush on a girl exactly like this on and off for 2 years. I’m sure if I gave it more time something could have happened but she was icy and only nice when she felt like it and she didn’t seem to care about me as much as I cared about her. I didn’t realise this until I met someone else who cared and felt safe and I started to have a small crush on her. Unlike the endless torture that was liking the first girl, the second told me she liked me in a matter of weeks from the start of our friendship. I told her the truth, that I liked her back but I’d just stopped having a long crush on another girl. She said that’s okay and we might see each other soon. I’m scared that I won’t be able to let go of the first girl because deep down all I think I deserve is someone who doesn’t care about me the way I care about them. I hope that I’ll see otherwise soon and be able to fall for the girl that cares.
