50 years ago I took a photograph near Bachalpsee on the way to the Faulhorn of muleteers taking bright red gas cylinders and supplies up to the hotel. It was so beautiful and serene, the silence only being broken by the shrill warning cries of marmots and the sound of mountain steams. 3 years ago I returned, it's so very different now. Vor 50 Jahren fotografierte ich in der Nähe des Bachalpsees auf dem Weg zum Faulhorn den Maultiertreiber beim Transport von knallroten Gasflaschen und Proviant hinauf zum Hotel. Es war so schön und friedlich, die Stille wurde nur durch die schrillen Warnrufe der Murmeltiere und das Rauschen der Bergdämpfe unterbrochen. Vor 3 Jahren bin ich zurückgekehrt, es ist jetzt so ganz anders.
