It's a common jrpg trope that great evil is buried beneath magical trees. I'm beginning to suspect that it's the TREE that causes the evil to spawn, rather than sealing it. Exdeath from Final Fantasy 5 makes so much more sense now.

It goes back farther than that, it's based on old Shinto rituals. Some trees that became old and large enough were considered sacred, so worshippers would tie a giant ceremonial rope called a shimenawa around it, decorated with tassels and paper charms to signify its holiness. Very often they're in a shrine's grounds and are considered the real body of the shrine's god. The big tree in Totoro is a fictional example, but there are plenty IRL.

I'm a big fan of the Gura/Kronii combo. Meme Queens FTW. But ye, Moomers and Fauna are without a doubt the comfiest pair. Fauna and Bijou have a somewhat similar vibe, although that's more relaxing in a cute way than a comfy way (?).

when i had my transplant, one thing no one told me on the transplant or education team told me one of the meds is a crossover chemotherapy meds and it EATS away at your teeth. So i went from ok teeth to them just crumbling like a sand castle in a storm in like 4 years. Teeth suck and when do we achieve full cyberpunk where it doesn't cost 30 grand to replace them with full titanium bridges and implants

I gotta agree with her on baseball. Its boring for a good bit of time and then the surprise homerun then back to that again. Basketball and football are more entertaining imo. I like baseball but I see it as a background sport when watching, like something you leave up while doing something else.
