To be fair, the Soul Gem was empty. But her child did just give her something to trap a soul in neverending torment. I don't know what's worse. Lucia taking after her mother, or encouraging her mother's behaviour.

They added them late in development. There was a lot of controversy surrounding adding children to Elder Scrolls as critics were saying people would run around killing them etc. That's also why they are invincible.

@@lekanraposte6732 I find some of the characters that are meant to be youthful (young adults/late teens) to be arguably creepier. Like Klimmek in Ivarstead who is referred to as a young lover in the Agent of Mara questline yet he's bald and looks like he's in his 40s.

@@goblez5900 To be fair, it can happen for some people. I remember a 22yo in my work class who had a ring of hair around his head and completely bald on top. I also have a cousin that her hair started graying when she was 15 or so.
