if you still had orange peel after all that, your surface wasnt clean before you started, you had your sweaty hands on it too much, or your air presure was too low on the gun, or last but not least, you need more reducer in the primer.
Going from the epoxy to the high build primer, was there any sanding? Or is it a "recoat window" thing? Does the build primer adhear chemically without sanding as long as it's done in a certain amount of time? Great video.
Would love to see the paint outside in the sun... Awesome idea painting the stripes rather than using a decal stripe kit... Am i missing something via im not seeing any stripes down on the bottom of the two tone job?
I worked in the body shop since 1980... Great memories and sanding forever... and EVER but when we did, we'd always sing the song by Dee Snyder and Twisted Sister.. but change the words a little .. I WANNA BLOCK !!.. I WANT TO BLOCK !! insert your air guitar and background noises as necessary
As someone who only gets to paint a project around once in 5 years or so, I forget a lot of thing's every time and have to relearn how things go in real time, don't get old folk's, anyway thanks for the video, it reminded me of masking techniques that hopefully will be used again in the future.
Because after a certain year, I forget, both trucks came down basically the same assembly line. C mean two wheel drive and K means four wheel drive. Some just say c/k
